Publisher's summary

To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters -- never mind that enter-ing the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death.

To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadow-hunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadow-hunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City -- whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times best-selling trilogy The Mortal Instruments.

So glad there are 3 more books in this series!

Would you consider the audio edition of City of Glass to be better than the print version?

Hmmm...no. I like them both equally, but audio versions are great & easier to revisit prior to the next installment being released so you can refresh your memory.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Clary in this book because she is so brave and determined.

Great 3rd Book in Series!

I throughly enjoyed this 3rd book in this series. This book filled in more of the back story, the beginning of some of the characters stories. Yet, it wasn’t just a history lesson. It was still filled with emotion and suspense.

will get my review after book 4

great narration in storytelling by narrator. I love these books because they're like a soap opera and my only problem with the book series even though I believe it's the first series she came out with but she takes the liberty of so many authors either by restructuring a quote or even giving credit to said author like William Shakespeare. literally if you took out all the material which I take it in Cassandra Clare's way of acknowledging the writing and even sometimes movie references or another author's book, which I know and then mean book series is she's going off of Harry Potter oh, it's not a bad thing. And over the years she has refrained from doing so and it just shows the development and evolution of her writing from 5 c e n t novellas, 2 awesome writing on her behalf. like I said I'll get my full review and after this thing to book for because this is where she tries to write without borrowing or she tries to make her own stand-alone book for book 4

A great audible version of a good book!

Another great book in the series. However it was presented as an Audible Kids Book. This is not for children. Mature tweens & of course teenagers... But definitely not "kids"!

LOVE - GREAT NARRATOR

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Most books I say read, but this narrator does such an amazing job embodying the characters I say listen to this one. I love the plot, with twist and turns that keep you listening all day long thirsting for more.

What about Natalie Moore’s performance did you like?

Amazing narrator, bummer she didn't narrate the last 3 books, those narrators killed the end of the series for me. She has a distinguishable voice for each character that really got you absorbed in the book.

Any additional comments?

If your looking for a series that you will want to re-read 10 times and each time love it more I recommend this series.

Getting even more intense and action packed

What made the experience of listening to City of Glass the most enjoyable?

that I could listen to it on the bus and not get motion sick because it wasn't in book form.

Would you be willing to try another book from Cassandra Clare? Why or why not?

yes, although I thought the story could end here I don't mind continuing to read the next book up in line in the series.

What aspect of Natalie Moore’s performance would you have changed?

how flat her voice is.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes
