Fascinating series starter!

So let me just get this out there, I LOVED THIS BOOK! It’s so much more than I expected, and the narration is FABULOUS! This story is full of action, magic, drama and suspense from beginning to end. It pulled me in from the start and I finished in one sitting. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, and the outstanding narration made the book! Natalie Naudus is a ‘new to me’ narrator and is now a ‘my favorites!’ narrator. She does an excellent job giving each character a unique voice, bringing the story to life and making it easy to get lost in the book. I will most definitely be looking for more of her work! I will also be anxiously awaiting the next book in this series!!!

Great story and great narration!

This was my first Alicia Rades's book and won't be the last. This is a paranormal story with angels and demons and it's so well written! I really appreciate my read/listen to this story. This story is fast-paced, suspenseful, funny and sweet. I love all the characters in this book. In fact, I love all about this book. It's a gem! The main characters Ryn and Marek are perfect together. The storyline is entertaining and really captivating. I can't wait to listen to the next story in this Series. This was my first listen to Natalie Naudus. She has a great voice, very easy to listen. I also love her male voice! I'm looking forward for more books narrated by her. Angels and demons.

I receive this book in exchange for an honest review.

The book had a lot of promise. Ryn was a pretty cool character, she took crap for no one. She was a headstrong and fiercely independent young woman. Then everything devolved when hunk in a jacket showed up. Marek irritated me by how he touched Ryn sometimes, it made me uncomfortable. Too many contradictions between her words and actions. Being headstrong and taking no crap, suddenly Marek is holding her face and she becomes puddy. I didn't like that.

The villain was my favorite character.

The narrator was fun to listen to, and her performance was good.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this book as much as I had hoped. The story had promise, but I think some parts were well done but needed more refinement.

I hope future books are successful and wish both the narrator and author the best.

Angels and demons, yes please!

I'm not sure how to pinpoint why I liked this so much. it's not your standard angels vs. demons book, it has a flair to it that makes it different.

I really liked Ryn, she had a lot of resilience, she went through a lot during the book but she remain positive.

I thought the characters were well done and the story line is unique and interesting.

Then narration is well done, I liked the character voices and othe overall delivery is a good match for the story.

Angels and Demons

What if you were chosen by a specific group of angels to help save the world and that meant as part of that race you had certain powers? Ryn thinks she was just crazy when she saw a demon as a child not knowing she was actually part of a special race of angels that protect people from said demons until she moved yet again. Very good action packed book.

Decent fun!

I was given this book in audiobook form in exchange for an honest review.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with this one.
It was well written, well read and nicely paced.

There were just a couple moments that the main character was being a tad whiny... but, just a couple. I guess if I were in her shoes I would have been more confused than whiny. But, then again, if I were in her shoes I probably be freaking out.

I liked that she didn't just all of a sudden have powers and and know how to use them... she had to figure it all out with help. The supporting characters were all good and believable.
There was romance, but it was not gross.

The narrator did a great job.
It was a fun listen.
I would honestly probably listen to the rest of the books in this series.

Interesting new series

One of my favorite genres is YA/teen fantasy. This story fits the bill well. I enjoyed the story line and plot but Ryn did not make much sense at times. She was very indecisive and made some stupid decisions at times.

Narration was well done and brought the story to life.

I was happy with no major cliffhanger. The story wrapped up nicely and paved way for the next book in this trilogy. I hope Ryn will step to the plate and make smarter choices in the next book. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Interesting!

Chosen By Grace is an excellent 'good vs evil' book with a completely different take from anything I have ever read before. I like when an author can explain WHY their take is similar, yet different. I also like that, even though the book is 'book 1' of the trilogy, I feel like it ended well without leaving me hanging saying, 'What? It cannot end there!' like so many do. It did, however, make me say, I have to get book 2!
I listened to the audio version of this book and it is the first one I have listened to of Natalie Naudus. She has a nice, even timber to her voice and I felt she complimented the characters. There was zero distraction to me, meaning, I actually forgot I was being 'read' to. Many narrators do not know how to do that.
I recommend this book, author and narrator to all.
