Publisher's Summary

"You've just always been the powerful one. I'm the smart aleck."

"We're the same. I'm night, you're day. You have to have both to have life."

"You can hide in the shadows."

"And you can shine like the sun. This prophesy is about both of us."

Destiny doesn't think she's anything special. The daughter of an outcast witch. Her twin, Fate, is her best friend, so that's awesome. They're experts in love potions and selling them to crazy high school kids.

So they can buy more shoes.

But that all changes when their school is attacked by warlocks - warlocks who want her power for their own. The attack launches her onto the path the stars have chosen for Destiny, Fate, and their long-lost father.

Oh, and Quin.

Quin, who's the son of a witch, only tolerating Destiny's presence because she can save his mother. Except along the way, that all changes, and he realizes Destiny is everything he never knew he wanted. The only problem is she thinks if love can be made from a potion, it can't be a real thing.

If they survive this, he's going to prove her wrong.

    "Awesome... Just Awesome!"

Fate and Destiny are twin potions witches, one light and one dark. They live with their mother, outcast from any coven, and create their own love potions to sell to their classmates. Their aunt, a warrior witch, occasionally shows up to request new potions to aid in the fight against the warlocks. But what Fate and Destiny don't know is that all the other potion witches have been killed, and without their backup the witches are slowly losing the war.

The girls start at a new school and Destiny rubs Quin, a popular football player, the wrong way. Quin just happens to be the son of a warrior witch. One day, warlocks attack their school, and Destiny joins with Quin to fight them. Both of their mothers are injured as a result of the battle. Quin, Destiny, Fate, and Fate's boyfriend Damien need to find a way to save them, and to fight off the warlocks determined to take their magic.

I think this book just made me fall in love with the paranormal fantasy genre! There's a lot going on in this book, a war between the witches and warlocks, fight to save their mothers, reconnecting with old family, learning about the witches' history, and the new romance. Despite all of this, it was written with a good natural flow and pacing, with no large info dumps. I was intrigued from the beginning and couldn't stop listening to it. The world the author created is fascinating, and I really wanted to learn more about it.

Any book that had me laughing out loud in the first paragraph is a winner. Fate and Destiny were awesomely snarky. They had this great banter between them that anyone with a sister would recognize. They're just incredibly likable, and the bond they shared with their mother was really special.

The narrator did a great job, she was easy to listen to. She did perform a different voice for male or female characters, and also gave Fate and Destiny distinct speaking voices. I thought it fit their personalities well. There weren't any jarring notes, and she narrated smoothly and never pulled me out of the story. I received a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

    "Amazing Teen/YA Fantasy about Witches!"

YA/Teen Paranormal Fantasy is my favorite genre. This book was awesome and I enjoyed everything about. The characters were well developed and interesting. I was totally absorbed with the story from beginning to end.

The narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

This book was packed with action, suspense, betrayal, misunderstandings, and love. Destiny and Fate are great witches with a big job ahead of them...

I'm looking forward to the next book. I'm glad this one did not conclude with a cliffhanger but I'm getting the next book soon. I really enjoyed this author's writing style.

    "cauldron bubble"
Where does Cauldron Bubble rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

this is one of the better books I have listened to lately...its a great teen book, although I'm well past my teens...I enjoyed the book

Who was your favorite character and why?

Quin...because, hes cocky, caring, willing to do anything for those he loves & yet hes so unsure of himself.

What about Lori Prince’s performance did you like?

she did a really good job of all the voices...I loved when Fate & Destiny would get ticked at each other & you could tell she was talking with her teeth clenched. She did a great job on the guys voices as well.

    "A spellbinding read!"

Whoa! This book! I've been in a book funk for a couple of weeks now and this witchy read got me right out of it! At first it was a bit slow for me and I wanted to stop but I took a break and started today and wow am I so glad I actually pushed through because it was such a witchy, enchanting read!

Love and family are powerful - remember that! Love. Always love. *sigh* The bond between family in this book shows how important family is and how supportive and helpful they can be in times of need.

Full of witches, warlocks, romance, family, lies, love and war.

Perfect for readers of paranormal romance.

    Reread: Audiobook

I'm really loving the narrator's voice! So relaxing that I'm getting hooked into the story all over again. My love for this series has been rekindled.

    Story
    "Twins save the world...:)"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It's an audiobook I'd recommend to everyone who likes YA fantasy/paranormal novels. The story is fast paced, with a lot of action and quite a bit of magic, and the main characters are really likeable. It is engaging enough to have kept me listen to it in one day (and it's almost 8 hours long:))
The story is quite simple: warlocks kill witches to steal their magical powers; witches lose the battle cause there are no more potion witches amongst them - they've all been killed by warlocks... But then there are Destiny and Fate (and their mother) who nobody even knows about:) And you guess what? They ARE potion witches, powerful ones, and... they are the twin witches from the prophecy which says they'll save the world and end the war... Sounds really simple, right? And it really is, as stories go, but it is also well told, in an engaging way, with some turns and twists on the way, so you never get bored:) Also, both main and background characters are quite interesting, with their own issues, with some difficult choices to make...
So, although this may not be a kind of book that is revolutionary for its genre, it's fun and good enough to give the reader/listener a lot of pleasure and that's why I'd recommend it to all those who like a nice summer read/listen:)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cauldron Bubble?

There are a few memorable moments in the book, some action packed, some emotionally wrecking, like the moment when Destiny's mother uses a spell trying to relieve her daughter's pain (I won't give you details - "No spoiler" policy:)) or when the girls meet their father for the first time...:)

What does Lori Prince bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I liked Ms Prince's narration a lot, especially the interpretation of the two main characters, Destiny and Fate. The girls were given very distinctive "voices", which really helped their personalities shine brightly:) They really were "night and day" - one almost always timid and shy and trying to stay in the shadows, the other louder, more cheerful, with her heart on her sleeve:) I liked that a lot:)
Ms Prince had more difficulty with male characters, probably because she herself is a soprano, so when she lowered the pitch of her voice too much it sounded a little slurred and unnatural (I don't know why but it reminded me of Don Corleone's voice - you know, with that characteristic hoarseness..:)) But it stopped bothering me after 5 minutes, really:)
