Publisher's summary

After discovering that vampires populate her town, college student Claire Danvers knows that the undead just want to live their lives. But someone else wants them to get ready to rumble. There's a new extreme sport getting picked up on the Internet: bare-knuckle fights pitting captured vampires against each other - or humans. Tracking the remote signal leads Claire - accompanied by her friends and "frenemies" - to discover that what started as an online brawl will soon threaten everyone in Morganville.

Written better

Some of these over emphasize the fact that there are vampires in the book. This one focuses more on personal stuff, making it a better book. It still has plenty of vampire butt kicking, which is awesome by the way, but the humans being more human and less prey takes it up a notch

Love the books

Don't like Shane and Claire not being good together! Don't enjoy the fights between the 2 main character couples

good book but...

I liked the book the narrator was cool but, the writer started giving the view point of the different characters maybe to make the story more exciting or to give us insight to each character but it didn't work out for me. I really feel like I could do with out Shane's inner thoughts. Those parts actually bored me half to death I wanted to fast forward through it but was afraid I would miss something important. I know the next book does that as well it's a bit of a bother but you can still make it through the book. I love Mernen he is so funny. This series is pretty good I would say give it a try.

Can't get enough of Racheal Cain's books :)

I love this series and was thrilled to see a new book come out. I think Ms. Cain is a great writer and does so much with her character development. This book focuses on Shane, Clair's boyfriend, and what makes him tick. I must admit to getting scared that Shane would not pull his head out of his rear in time to give me the satisfactory ending that I have become accustomed to. But in typical Cain style she shows the reader that people can tackle their demons and prejudges and come out the other end better for having faced them.

Great book’

I enjoy the series and the characters! They are growing up and learning lessons! They just have to do it with a bunch of Vamps!

Love the Morganville Vampires!

I've read all the Morganville Vampire Series in hard copy or on my Kindle but I love the series so much I've purchased them on Audible as well. I've enjoyed them just as much listening to them on Audible as much as reading them maybe even more bc the narrator put excellent voices to the characters. The narrator does an exquisite job. Not all narrator's can pull off doing female and male voices so well. There are a lot of characters in this series and each one has a clear and distinctive voice and you never ever have to question which character is speaking. She does a great justice to all the characters but I especially love her version of crazy/semi crazy Myrnan! Well worth the purchase.

more suspense and goodness 🥰

this one kept me on the edge of my seat again! and i enjoyed hearing the story from Shane’s 1st person pov. getting to hear what was going on inside his head and what was in his heart. not sure i would’ve chosen Morganville and all that chaos over MIT, but i can understand why she did it. all
in all, a really good continuance of the story=)

Story development

Can we just talk about how Claire is maturing and how she is deeply in love with Shane?
