Beautifu and touching!

It is such a beautiful and touching story of love. Rebecca Lowman's reading was emotionally subdued but mature and right on target. Bravo!

This is truly the best book I’ve ever read

I loved the ending especially because what she said about lgbtq books not having a happy ending is so true and I love how old this book is and how amazing the relationship was described. I have no words and I don’t know how to describe how much I love this book.

I love this book still

I read this book back in 2005 when I was in high school and fell in love with it. It was the first LGBT book I had read and it helped me through some tough times with my owe sexuality. I own a copy and have loaned it out to friends. Figured I'd give it a shot on audible since I have an hour commute to work everyday. Still love this book and I'm thankful for the author writing it.

Excellent

I love this book. It starts as a beautiful love story about two girls falling in love. The second half of this love story explodes.

In today's society gays &lesbians hardly raise an eyebrow. But 25 years ago, when this story take place, homophobia was alive & powerful. This story touch my heart.

Loved it!

Would you listen to Annie On My Mind again? Why?

Yes. It's just such a compelling, heartfelt story. Probably one I will make a yearly "read."

Any additional comments?

Other than a vaguely familiar sounding title, I didn't know anything about "Annie on my Mind." I bought it on a whim in an Audible sale purchase sweep. I finished the audiobook in under 3 days. Annie and Liza read like people I knew. I was invested in their story. Highly recommend this audio book.

Good For ALL Ages

I first read this book when I was 14. Then again at 17, then in my 20's, and again now, in my 30's. This book never ceases to be relevant, touching, and hopeful. It gave a positive message as a young teen, full of angst, and again now growing with my family. I'll probably love it until my death bed! :)

Truly normal so, wonderful love story like others.

I really thank the author,Nancy Garden who wanted to share the true meaning of love between two same genders. This book encouraged me to open my mind wider. Her interview was also impressive.
Thanks.
I hope you will also enjoy too.

This book is on my mind

Oh my god.

This book is amazing. Not perfect, but amazing.

Rebecca Lowman did a fantastic job narrating the story and the voices she did for each character--and made each voice for each. Annie had a distinct voice and so did Eliza, which I absolutely loved.

I was listening to the audiobook while doing schoolwork and that was a mistake; because I didn't get anything done. After about an hour, I just gave up on my homework and began to crochet a scarf for my friend and I was absolutely taken away into Annie and Eliza's world. I was surprised how much I related to Annie and Eliza, and how real each character felt. Every time I listened, it was like I was meeting friends again.

So, it's safe to say, this book is definitely on my mind (and probably will be for a long time)
