Publisher's summary

There is a new Alpha Wolf in town, and she is about to change everything.

Mena had all she wanted in life: a nice house, money, a successful husband who treated her like a queen.

That was, until she found out her marriage was all a lie, and things she never thought could exist, did.

Vampires are real.

Werewolves are real.

And Mena is not human anymore.

Great beginning to a new series

What made the experience of listening to Accepting the Moon: Prequel the most enjoyable?

The book kept twisting from what you think you are going to read. I love books that are not totally predictable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Accepting the Moon: Prequel?

I loved the opening scene when Jackson (vampire) has picked up a girl brings her to a motel to feed, and never bothers to go say anything to her as soon as he meets Mena I wonder what she thought happened to him.

Have you listened to any of Pyper Down’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I do not believe I have but I enjoyed the narration very much.

Any additional comments?

This was a novella introducing us to the characters, definitely will listen to the next book.

I loved this book! 4.5 STARS

*I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
The book starts with Mena talking about why she left her husband. She meets Jackson and enters a whole new world. She just thought living with her husband was rough…it was nothing! Meeting Phoenix changed her world even more than she thought was possible. This was a very fast paced book since it was less than 2 hours, but boy was there a lot packed in! I liked the storyline and the different twist on these 2 species. The narration was flawless as well! Absolutely 4.5 STARS!

Great Start To A Series!

A great prequel to the series. You get to know the characters at the very beginning of the story. Short, but very entertaining.

Very entertaining

Infidelity was the catalyst for her world to be upended. As a powerful lawyer, he got whatever he wanted, including other women. Fate has thrown Mena into a world she never knew existed.

Consistently exceeds expectations

There is something of a sense of anticipation when an author gives the same attention to her choice of narrator as the printed word. This is her third audiobook I've listened to. So far, each choice she has made in narrators has only enhanced my enjoyment of her work. Pyper Down hit every inflection, every emotion perfectly. I found her vocalization of the male characters remarkable in that each one was easily identifiable. To my mind women narrating male parts, as well as men narrating for female parts can be tricky. You either nail it or you don't. Pyper Down definitely nailed it.

As with her written works, Haigwood's audiobooks are definitely worth picking up. The only way she could have put out a better audiobook was to have hired a full cast voice ensemble. Five stars to both author and narrator.

A great Listen

the story is so well written and narrated that I didn't want it to end so soon. Mina and Phoenix have the chemistry and I have a feeling She will make a great pack leader

Excited for More!!

A lot happens in this prequel that is clearly setting the stage for the next book. Just on this short little taste of this series I am super excited for what this author has in store for us. If you're not a fan of paranormal romance, you may not like it; but its enticing and you dont know what you're missing.

Great narration already! Makes this little snippet even more intense and exciting. I can already tell she is going to bring out the alpha female in Mena's character, perfectly.

Accepting the Moon

A great introduction to the series!

This fast paced prequel sets the stage for what looks to be a great paranormal series. I loved how the characters were introduced and how things have been setup for the next book.

Yes, I was left wanting more! K. S. Haigwood’s writing pulled me right in from the beginning, and Pyper Down gave an excellent performance.
