Publisher's Summary

For fans of The Hunger Games and Divergent comes a story like no other....

A toxic river divides 19-year-old Violet Bates' world by gender. Women rule the East. Men rule the West.

Welcome to the lands of Matrus and Patrus.

Ever since the disappearance of her beloved younger brother, Violet's life has been consumed by an anger she struggles to control. Already a prisoner to her own nation, now she has been sentenced to death for her crimes.

But one decision could save her life.

To enter the kingdom of Patrus, where men rule and women submit.

Everything about the patriarchy is dangerous for a rebellious girl like Violet. She cannot break the rules if she wishes to stay alive. But abiding by rules has never been her strong suit, and when she is thrust into more danger than she could have ever predicted, Violet is forced to sacrifice many things in the forbidden kingdom...including forbidden love.

In a world divided by gender, only the strongest survive....

If you enjoy Suzanne Collins or Veronica Roth, this will be a ride you won't want to miss.

Book one of a completed seven-book series.

BEST AUDIO SERIES I HAVE EVER LISTENED TOO!!!!!!

when will the rest of the series be produced I'm audio??? the multiple narrators make the audio books amazing! there is no and he said or and she said, no he was irritated or sad or happy, because they narrate the book and know the voices for each character and use hear if they are irritated, sad, happy, etc!! this draws you in! so addicting!!

this is by far the best audio series I have ever listen too!!! PLEASE PLEASE produce the other 16 on audio!

love the stories not the prices

I enjoy the serious and can really get into the characters. hate hate that each book is broken up. many of these books could just be combined. sooo annoying. you have to either be really greedy for the extra bucks we have to fork out for each book or someone is too dumb to figure out how to combine the books. I have listened to several series with possibly even more detail this this series and i didn't not have to buy so many books.

I love this series

Would you listen to A Fall of Secrets again? Why?

I love this series. I'm intrigued by the charcters and their loves stories but 1 nnarrators really pulled me away from the story. I didn't realize how much a narrator could either make or break a story. I have read all of the other books in this series and this is the first I've listened too. Zach Karem is probably great at many things but his reading of the part of Kaleb really wasn't good. There was no flow, he seemed very inexperienced aad robotic.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rose and Sophia are my favorite charcters. They are so much like every girl. They fall for the wrong boys sometimes but usually find the good in them. They are strong women.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think when we start adding to many narrators it makes the story too choppy. I prefer 1 male and one female reading roles. A good narrator can get you lost in another world and a bad 9ne can take it all from you and bring you right back into the real world.

Any additional comments?

I highly recomend this series. It's a lLtd of fun and the charcters will pull you in. You will want to live in the Shade
