Publisher's summary

Those who have made the decision to homeschool their children have done so out of great love for them and a desire to provide them an excellent education in the context of a warm, enriching home. Yet so many parents (mainly mothers) who have taken up this challenge find the enterprise often full of stress, worry, and anxiety. In this practical, faith-based, and inspirational book, Sarah Mackenzie addresses these questions directly, appealing to her own study of restful learning and her struggle to bring restful learning to her (six) children.

Such a refreshing reminder for a seasoned mom

Slow down and live life with your kids. Relax. Show grace. Think. Paint. Conversate. Smile. Relish in the little things. Schedules and checklists are good but not at the cost of your relationships. Especially the relationships of your God given children.

Encouraging!

I so enjoyed this book. I feel like every faith based homeschool mom would benefit from it. Now that I've listened to the audio version I want a hard copy to highlight passages.

The best book for homeschooling mamas

This book was an absolute delight to listen to. I connect with everything Sarah shares in being a homeschool mother, and I’m challenged and encouraged to move forward in my journey. Excellent advice and a gracious heart behind it all.

Life changing

This book repeatedly brought tears to my eyes and caused me to repent for my failures to God and my children. It is not a discouraging book by any means! I feel refreshed to have my focus returned to God and his responsibility for the outcome of my children's education. I am just to faithfully perform my task and accept the interruptions as his purpose for me for that moment. I listened to this audiobook in every free moment and finished it in under 24 hours. I plan to listen again very soon with a notebook in hand to write down all the wisdom that pours from every chapter. Absolutely wonderful book.
