Powerful / moving stories about our edu system
Christy did a masterful job of telling real stories of real children and families dealing with incredible challenges. Oftentimes teachers are the only ones available to provide emotional and financial support to these children just so that they can have a chance at learning.
I've seen statistics and data that speak to these problems, but hearing the stories in this book moved me in a way that no data set could.
