Slightly Weird Short Stories

Short stories aren't usually my kind of thing. But I absolutely a few of these. Others made me think. The writing was excellent. So was the Narrator.
If you like a mixture of weirdness and cuteness (well a couple were scary), you might like these stories.

Charming, Quirky and Original

What did you love best about Tea and Dark Chocolate?

I loved the unique twists to old classics and the unique perspectives she offered. Also, I love dealing with pets. I thought it was effectively performed.

Have you listened to any of Fiona Thraille’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not really.

Any additional comments?

The subject matter is not necessarily my favorite, rather mundane compared to my usual favorites; however, I found this quite charming, full of interesting insights and clever twists so I enjoyed it very much.

Cute, Twisted, Splendid

This is a charming collection of random.
I especially loved Mr. Dumpty's interview with the psychologist.
Flash fiction has never really been my thing, but this was a fun introduction. It's full of twisted versions of the familiar. The author has a way of personifying objects that makes for delightful listening. The narrator did a lovely job. Took me a moment to get used to her accent, but it definitely fit the work well.
Highly recommended.

A Differant Slant to Nursery Rhymes

This is a cute selection of short stories using some twisted versions of nursery rhymes and fables. Some are fun orhers strange. So you have a cat, a disgruntled android and a weasel what more do you need. You have an author who has creatively made situations to draw your attention and make you laugh. The narration by Fiona Thraille fits the theme of the book. She does a great job putting excitement into this book.

Great Short stories for little ones with a TWIST

Take some classic tale to add a bit of realism, the real-world motivation of fairy tale characters, a bit of the macabre, lots of humor and you have an update of a cluster of children's stories the little folks of 2020 can relate to.

Odd sort of book

A strange little book of comments and very short stories based off of fables and fairy tales.
Some humorous, some odd, a few that I would like to see developed further.
Some will make you smile, others will have you asking yourself, what did I just hear? Did I hear that correctly?
I was granted an audible review copy via Story Origins but the thoughts are my own.
