My enemy is the Apocalypse. Anonymous. Faceless. Shrouded in cloaks and deception.
They are the true puppeteers of East Point, pulling the strings of their minions and controlling the masses of sheep. They're cowards hiding behind false identities and blank addresses.
And guess who's still their number one plaything? Yep, that's me.
When I came to East Point, I had one mission in mind: find the people responsible for killing my best friend. And boy, did I get more than I bargained for. Everything I've looked into twists and turns into dead ends.
No one is who they say they are.
When identities are revealed, we're more screwed than before. With every step we take forward, we're thrust a million steps back.
But this time, I'm not alone. I have my four guys by my side. Together, with shreds of new evidence and better technology, we will continue our investigation into Magnolia's murder. And bring justice to her death.
Or die trying.
Tangled Truths is a full-length, dark, contemporary, new adult bully romance. Full of mystery, spicy scenes, and foul language. It is a why-choose novel, meaning the FMC has more than one love interest and does not have to choose. FMMMM This is book two of The Apocalypse Society and will end in a cliffhanger. It is not a standalone.
Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

Amazing story!

Book one had me hooked. The suspense, the romantic tension, the emotional highs and lows—it all worked for me. I also appreciated seeing the FMC show strength and resilience in the face of bullying.
Then came book two, and I just couldn't keep going. The same mistakes are repeated over and over, with very little character growth. I understand that the FMC is autistic and possibly has ADHD, and I tried to be patient and view her actions through that lens. But by chapter 17, we're no closer to answers than we were in chapter 1.
At this point, I feel like the eventual "whodunit" and "why" reveal won't be satisfying enough to justify the slow pace. Unfortunately, it's time for me to DNF this series.
It’s enough
