Publisher's summary

No matter how hard women work or how much they accomplish in a day, there's lingering anxiety and guilt over what they didn't do. Glynnis Whitwer has identified what makes us feel so overburdened, and it's probably not what you think.

Taming the To-Do List exposes a seismic shift in our society: from one in which most of us were proactive toward one where we now carry the burden of having to respond to every email, text, tweet, and message we receive. This major shift creates a cycle where everyone else sets the priorities for our days rather than us designing our own lives.

Taming the To-Do List addresses this significant change in how we manage our time and the issue of procrastination from a woman's point of view. Combining practical, easy-to-apply advice with solid research and biblical truth, this book is a compassionate yet challenging message of hope for those struggling to choose their best work over busy work.

Life Changing !

I am so glad I got this book! it has opened my eyes to many things about myself I never considered to be the source of my hectic life. It has been written in a way that can be applied by anyone. No vague instructions or massive amounts of change. Practical steps and viewpoints that are comprehensive.

It’s too religion based, more so than the description implies.

I mean yes, it does say biblical references but I thought it would potentially just be an allegory here or there. No, it’s constantly talking about praying and gods love, more so than it gives actual advice. I couldn’t finish it. I only wish I knew I could exchange books before now so I wouldn’t have wasted a credit on this majorly disappointing book.

Aimed at middle-aged Christian women and mothers.

What disappointed you about Taming the To-Do List?

I was wanting a Brian Tracey style pep talk and a no-nonsense productivity guide. What I got was the musings of an aging women on how she's been lying to herself, other people, and yes, God. No slight intended to the author, but this book is aimed at a very niche demographic.
