5 Stealing His Heart Stars!!!

I had the pleasure of reading this book when it was released and LOVED it so much that I decided to listen to it when the audio was released. Ms. Peachwood and Mr. Snow NAILED the characters and brought an entirely new enjoyment to this book.

Well, they've done it again. This book is an outstanding start to a new series by the duo known as Kennedy Fox. And this time we get cowboys with tight jeans and oh my goodness I was captivated the moment I started this book.

It starts off with a Prologue that almost broke me. I wasn't expecting it that's for sure, and it totally sets the tone of who River is and the whys of how she lives her life. My heart literally hurt for her and I absolutely cried.

For all intents and purposes River and Alex should have never met, but when they both end up in Key West for two weeks of fun in the sun and hopefully some sexy times between the sheets, and while there's an initial attraction between them, she has no patience for Alex's cheesy pickup lines. But one day, when River comes to the aid of Alex and his best friend Dylan they just can't fight their crazy chemistry.

"Alex looks at me with so much fire in his eyes, it almost burns my skin."

And so begins two weeks of some of the best and sexiest weeks either of them have ever experienced. And what was supposed to be a friends with benefits kind of thing, real feelings begin to be felt. I could feel how our H/h felt for each other. They've both had such a rough go round in the romance arena so to find someone that they connected with on a visceral level was beautiful.

Fast forward a few months and River has come to Texas to see Alex and she's got a surprise for him! I absolutely LOVED how he didn't question her and how he was not afraid to admit his feelings this time. This book had so much levity while also being dirty and sexy at the same time. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't just them jumping back in bed together. I admired Alex so much more because he was willing to do whatever it takes to make this work.

Along the way we meet the entire Bishop family and all their dynamics. And when the Bishop boys are involved you know there's soon to be some raucous fun! The fact that this family opens their arms to River, after a rough start, made me fall in love with all the Bishops. It's clear who runs this family and it's not who you think it is!

In the end, this book is exactly what I was hoping it was going to be. Kennedy Fox knows how to deliver a book with a punch that drew me, had me simmering and then gave me all the emotions plus some.

I'm hooked after reading Taming Him!

This was my first Kennedy Fox read and I absolutely loved it, so much so that I read it twice! I would definitely consider this my gateway book into the world of Kennedy Fox. After reading Taming Him, I was hooked and binged the rest of the Bishop Brothers series!

I'm a sucker for a small town, cowboy romance and Kennedy Fox delivered with this story! I loved the main characters, Alex and River and the connection the two shared throughout the entire book. It was fun and exciting, with lots of steamy scenes throughout the beginning part of the book and then it becomes more serious for both River and Alex while they grow and adjust to their new situation. The book starts with two people knowing almost nothing about each other and turns into a beautiful love story by the end!

The way Taming Him ends is such a great segway into Needing Him that you'll want to start reading immediately, so do yourself a favor and buy all 4 Bishop Brothers books now!

so boring

spoilers ahead!! the story started out interesting, even cute. their meeting in Florida was fun, everything was good up until he convinced her to move south. that happened about half way through the book. absolutely nothing happened the entire rest of the book. i finished it because i convinced myself there had to be more to the story. there wasn't. huge waste of time. the one good thing was listening to Aiden. the h was annoying, whiny, spoiled, weak and stupid. yuk. the H came up with a great proposal and right up till the words leave his mouth she can't figure out what is happening. seriously. just don't bother.

My Two Pennies

Love a southern drawl and these narrators were spot on. Ride ‘em Cowboy! Alex is THE Bishop man that has won my heart. River’s story breaks my heart but she is so strong and I love the career she chose in life. When a vacation turns into so much more I am wishing to have experiences like that and that bucket list... hello! I was in tears at times both happy and sad. Getting to know the whole Bishop family is great and seeing how close knit and loving they are is beautiful. I cannot wait to hear the rest of the boys stories the Doctor is in next and I’m curious to see what happens. This is my unbiased and voluntary review

After 3 hours still couldn't get Ito this book. Sad because of the high reviews!

Wow this was a great audio book!I loved the story it was fun and the hero was one of the best parts in the story!Such a gentleman and he knew what he wanted!!It’s dual POV, so we get a chance to bask in the minds of both River and Alex.River and Alex are not what either expected to find while on vacation.I love their connection so strong!!They are cute,sexy and sweet all together!

All around GREAT

Loved this story. This book kept my interest from start to finish! Loved the narration also. Im from Louisiana so a lot of southern narration are over done with way too much country slang this was very well done.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narrator was great.

Taming Him

A holiday fling, unexpected pregnancy and a HEA.
With inbetween a lot of laughter, steam, heartbreak and a Bishop family you just have to love.

It was okay …

The story itself was good; it was a sweet idea. I liked the concept: guy & woman meet on vacation & have an instant connection, it was only supposed last 2 weeks (really it was only like the last 5 days by the time they finally got together, but whatever … 😒), but then she gets pregnant, etc. The parts that really threw me off (and why I only gave it 3 stars instead of 5) was that (1) River’s parents seem to have accepted the whole situation WAY too easily. Like “Mom, Dad, I’m pregnant with a guy I’ve just met on vacation for 2 weeks & now I’m going to see him to see if he wants me & the baby & live with him (if he doesn’t kick me out first).” Parents: “Um, okay. It’s your life.” Um, no! If it were MY parents, they would have said “Wait, what?!”, especially my mom!! Also, what is with all these women getting pregnant if they’re supposed to be on BIRTH CONTROL?! Makes it seem like birth control is really bad & doesn’t really work!! Um, no!! Birth control is NOT bad & really works!! Yes some birth control is better than others, but still … c’mon!! Almost in all the authors’ stories I’ve read so far a woman gets pregnant when she’s supposed to be on BIRTH CONTROL!! Okay, (2) Alex leaving River alone for a night to get drunk with his buddies also threw me off. It just seemed really out of character for him, considering how sweet & loving he’s been to River ever since she came & broke the news to him. I mean, the guy didn’t even ask for a paternity test to check if the baby was really his; he just accepted it. And now he goes out to get drunk with his buddies & leaves his pregnant (now) girlfriend all alone?! And doesn’t even pick up the phone when she calls?! What?! I don’t know where the authors were going with this … maybe to say he was still young & human & makes mistakes?? But then he never does it again (thankfully), but still … it just seemed COMPLETELY out of nowhere … I don’t know … Also, River forgives him WAY too easily too!! I mean yes, he begs for forgiveness & promises to NEVER do it again & thankfully he doesn’t (that we know of)!! But I mean, c’mon!! This is a MAJOR red flag in the relationship & if it were me I would have been ROYALLY p****ed off at my baby daddy; not just say something like, “Okay, fine. I forgive you.” I mean, yes she is mad at him, but it only lasts for like a page & then that’s it; she forgives him because she “loves him”. I get that this is supposed to be a love story & all, but, I mean, c’mon!! Make it more realistic, please!! Make her be mad for more than a page!! All in all, it was a good story; not the best these 2 authors have written, but a good, sweet story nonetheless; I really liked that they named the baby after her sister that passed away (the guy version of the name since the baby was a boy). That was really sweet! 😍

Absolutely loved River and Alex's story! After meeting in Key West and sparks fly between them. Will they ever see each other again? Can't wait to see what happens next on the Bishop ranch... Enjoy!
