Publisher's Summary

From best-selling author R.L. Mathewson comes the sixth installment of the Pyte/Sentinel Series....

For listeners who enjoy paranormal romance with a twist.

For three centuries, Trace waited for this moment, imagined all the things that he would do to the Pack that tried to kill him, and now that he was free....

All he could think about was the woman that he'd claimed as his own. She was everything that he'd always wanted and once he had his revenge, he would make her his.

Sam had resigned herself to a lot of things over the years, being the town joke, blacking out at inopportune moments, and living with a dog that hated her, but what she hadn't planned on was suddenly finding five large men destroying her basement, looking for a tomb that she never knew existed. In one moment, her life changed forever, leaving her to wonder how she was going to make it out of this alive.

I hate to say it’s only 3 stars.

Typically I love everything that Mathewson writes. This story just seems to somewhat fall in line with the the last story in this series as it was also definitely not one of my favorites. I believe last book and this book are more like world / story line builder books.

This story does bounce around a lot kind of building the story board up in small bites. Where it’s a little bit about this person so you don’t forget about them, little bit about this one to leave more questions, so on and on.

Not great but not bad. Worth reading to build up more information. Not a stand alone by any means. Some new players and some old ones.

Confusing

I read all the books in this series and this one is really bad, the author mix stories without link between chapters or characters and was confusing to understand

Too Much

Let me first start off by saying I love this series. I can get so lost in the imagination of R.L. Mathewson. It was hard to follow this book, though. The story was all over the place. And it seemed rushed. I am going to reread this book because I am sure I missed things. Still a fan and can't wait to dive into the next read.

Loved it

Although it jumped around a bit, I loved it. I do recommend that you listen/read the other books in advance or you will get lost. I wish Trace's revenge would have been written about a little more. Overall I loved the book.

Love this series

I like how she twines the different characters lives together and makes a family out of these “misfits”. She ends the book in a way that I hope there are more to come. I liked all the books but, don’t care for Chris and I don’t like how Jill is portrayed as this weak girl. But, those are my only main complaints.

Won't be buying the next one.

Who were the main characters of this book again? Hard to tell considering there were so many chapters/parts where they weren't actually in it. New characters, and old ones, seem to take up the majority of this story that it got confusing when it went back to Samantha and....erm...I can't remember his name. No, seriously. I can't. I feel like the author added so many filter chapters in with other characters that the main ones were lost or over shadowed. She also ruined Jill's book for me if she ever does it as I now know too much to care about reading/ listening to her story. Bringing her up in this broke the anticipation of knowing what happened to her when she was taken. I'm done with this series and it's filter chapters/parts. It started good but is getting worse.

3.5 stars

Definitely need to listen to the earlier books in the series before this one as there are other characters involved. I did enjoy this, but didn’t feel as invested as I would have liked, hence the lower rating.
