Publisher's summary

Bagman versus the Butcher.

A new gang boss is taking over the meat-packing district of Chicago and his tools are murder and intimidation. He calls himself the Butcher and the trail of death and destruction he leaves in his wake is a testament to that moniker. Now it will take all of the Bagman's skills and know-how to unmask this savage foe and save the streets of the Windy City from a new and bloody gang war. Writer B. Chris Bell unleashes a trio of brand new adventures featuring his sarcastic 1930s hero who wears a burlap sack over his head and fights for his neighborhood streets. Added to this volume's roster is a mystery involving the kidnapping of newsboys and in a third story, Bagman's trusted ally and driver, Crankshaft, is featured in a solo short. Here is pulp action in a truly unique style starring one of the most original new pulp stars ever put to paper, the Bagman!

Another Winner, but we need MORE!!!!

In this third installment of the Bagman series, one thing is very clear: WE NEED MORE BAGMAN!!!! This has been an absolute thrill to discover and experience. A fanboy mysteryman who is a former mob affiliate and wears a burlap sack over his head? Really, what more could you ask for???

There are three stories here, one of which covers the sidekick for once. Yep, we get to see Ole' Crankshaft in action. These stories literally feel as if they were written in the pulp era, they just ooze noir/pulp blood. Bell really knows his stuff, and creates a wonderful world to visit, and populates it with interesting characters.

Roberto Scarlato absolutely kills it with his vocal stylings. Once you hear him you will be impressed by his range and capabilities. The man is scary good, and has become a favorite narrator of mine.

If you like pulp, noir, superheroes, detective tales, or anything else inspired by old time radio you will dig this series. Get it now, and you will find this is your bag!
