Publisher's Summary

Working at a dead-end retail job in the middle of nowhere can be hard. The long hours. The helpless customers. The enormous eldritch horror living deep below the building. As the only full-time employee at the 24-hour gas station at the edge of town, Jack has pretty much seen it all. But when he decides to start an online journal documenting the bizarre day-to-day occurrences, he unwittingly attracts the attention of much more than just a few conspiracy theorists.

With the body count steadily on the rise and a dark, ancient force infecting the dreams of everyone around him, Jack will do everything in his power to stay out of the way and mind his own business. After all, he’s just a gas station clerk. It’s not like he’s getting paid enough to wage battle against the nightmarish aberrations plaguing his community. Besides, he already has his hands full attempting to manage all those mysterious lawn gnomes, the mutant raccoons, and the charming phantom cowboy who lives in the bathroom.

Based on the award-winning creepypasta by GasStationJack, Tales from the Gas Station: Volume One is a love letter to the pioneers of classic horror tailored to a generation that grew up in the era of smartphones and WiFi.

One of my most favorite nosleep series!

I absolutely loved the original Reddit stories and when Jack said he was putting out his book I couldn't wait. I bought the book back when it came out and didn't hesitate to buy the audible version.

Tales from the gas station is honestly a lot like an episode of The Twilight Zone (the old one not the new one, haven't watched that one yet.). The story itself is phenomenal and is 100x better when voiced By MCP. MCP bring life and style to all of the characters and breaths life into the story itself.

I absolutely love this book and I love the narrator too! I would definitely recommend to anyone that has a dark sense of humor (or a sense of humor at all) and to anyone who likes hearing strange stories.

Great book and well narrated. The narrator gives more personality to characters in my opinion.

Perfect blend of horror, humor and strangeness.

I have been a huge fan of these stories since Mr. creepy pasta had short versions on his podcast. This is the first book I've bought outright without using credits in years, and got it the day it was released. can't wait for vol. 2 thru infinity.

It was struggle to finish. the narrator was good and there was some funny parts but the story line was weird. I got confused in some parts. I didn't like at all.

Simultaneously Scary and Wickedly Hilarious

Don't know quite what genre this is, but five minutes in I was hooked. Delightfully funny and creepy at the same time. The narration is brilliant.Every character come through with a distinct flavor and flair. The plot is as improbable as they come, but the gas station and Jack, the damaged protagonist, were oddly believable in the hands of this author. If you like your humor dry and dark, your sci fi otherworldly and your main characters strangely endearing, this fits the bill. Best since American Elsewhere and Fourteen and the Fold. The writing is wild, but smart and stylish. Jack's relationship with his psychiatrist is funny in the extreme. I have not laughed so much while listening to a scary book in a long time....Please hurry with the next one.

From Reddit To Riches

i've been following this story since i found it on Mr CreepyPasta's youtube channel a year ago. Excellent Story, Excellent Narration, i couldn't be happier it finally has an official release, i kinda miss the background music though.

If you're reading this and considering getting Tales from the Gas Station, i cant recommend it enough, listen to it here first, before it becomes the next big netflix adaptation.

Awesome Story, Awesome Narrator

Absolutely loved the audiobook, the story is incredible and Mr.Creepypasta did a fantastic job narrating, any other narrator would've done the series a disservice. Jack Townsend is a remarkable author with the original series on Reddit (YouTube narrated) and on his website, I was hooked since I first read it and this book was no different having read the physical copy and now the audiobook. Can't wait for more Tales from the Gas Station.
