Tales from the Dream Hogs is a collection of short stories that will take you to another time and place. You may also find these stories in our new theatre programs available on many sites.
Volume 1 includes: Dreamland, The Deer Hunter, The Spirit, and Cat Scratch Fever.
They will make you laugh, cry, and think about what could happen to you in your everyday life. Each will entertain you while you drive down the road or just at your computer working or searching the net. So sit back and relax and listen to what it was like to be entertained in days gone by.
©2015 AVOA Publishing LLC (P)2015 AVOA Publishing LLCThe first three stories (Dreamland, Deerhunter, and Cat Scratch Fever) are vaguely interesting but amateurish. The cast does their best, but with stilted dialogue, an over-reliance on narration, and no sound effects, they can't achieve very much. Cat Scratch Fever is probably the best of the bunch.
If I found out these were the product of a middle or high school project, I wouldn't be surprised. Mediocre but not worth writing a bad review over.
The fourth story, The Spirit, was so terrible that I had to warn others. It's a juvenile attempt to write something shocking, the sort of treatment of themes like assault and murder that a teenager produces to try to shock their teachers, showing the intent to offend but unable to invest them with emotional weight since they haven't lived enough to understand what they're writing.
I wrote a similar review of this previously that seems to have been deleted, but on the off chance that I submitted it wrong, I'm trying again.
