Publisher's summary

Only beloved historical author Christina Dodd could bring you the next story in the Governess Brides series...

Lovely Victoria Cardiff is very prim, very strict, very sure that England is the only civilized place in the world.

She's about to find out she's right.

Only Victoria knows the truth about dashing, dissolute, dangerous Saber Lawrence - that he is a renegade prince plotting to seize control of his country. To ensure her silence, Saber kidnaps Victoria and carries her away to his castle deep in the woods. There they hide the truth about their past: a glittering ball, angry words, a passionate kiss. He vows to vanquish her reserve ... but soon finds an English governess is not so easily seduced ...

Between persuasion and passion, they realize that only together can they defeat the enemies determined to destroy them. But will Saber discover too late that a woman's heart is a treasure more priceless than any kingdom?

A Great Read

This book picks up after In Bed With the Duke with the story of the true Moricadian ruler that was rumored to be returning. Raul Lawrence (formerly called Saber in his own country before being sent away by his family as a child for his safety) meets the lady he met 3 years ago currently working as a governess/assistant for a well-to-do accountant. Victoria was close friends with his half sister and thinking that what Belle told her was a joke/child's fantasy is indiscreet with what she knows. To prevent her from giving away his secret Saber kidnaps her. The plot was interesting, the hero and heroine were strong, likable characters and the book had some parts I found quite funny. Overall a great read.
