Publisher's summary

My mother warned me not to go to the grove alone. But when the moon is full, heat stirs my blood...and it calls to them.

The Berserkers came in the night and took me. I woke up chained outside the monsters' cave.

They were warriors, cursed by a witch to become ravening beasts. They tell me I'm their mate. The prophecy says I am the only one who can heal them. But can I tame the beasts that haunt their minds...before it's too late?

Note: Taken by the Berserkers is a standalone, full-length MFM ménage romance starring two huge, dominant warriors who make it all about the woman. Listen to the whole best-selling Berserker saga to see what listeners are raving about...

Loved it especially the narrator's voice.

I really enjoyed listening to the narrator. He did a good job with the voices. I do suggest if you have the ebook, and you are a fast reader like I am, do not listen at the same time while reading. Just listen and enjoy. I will be listening to this one again.

Smokey and dark romance

I don't usually read this type of darker romance and I am not a fan of ware wolf' type of stories. Yet, this story line intrigued me, and the sample of the narrators voice was incredible. So I decided to try the first book. (this is the second) To my surprise, I love this series. This author is able to create a beautiful love story out of some dark components. My only complaint was sometimes, Sabin seemed like a pentuant child, but that was actually the point of the story. I would suggest reading/listening to the books in order. Please note, there is definately some darker and rough sex scences that might not appeal to everyone.

Decent Story Overall

Overall this is a decent story but not as strong as some of the others in the series. I was not a fan of the punishment scenes. Robert Ross does a good job as narrator, the characters were easy to follow and distinguishable.

Great addition

This is Maddox's (yes, that Maddox from the other books), Ragnvald, and Siobahn's story. She is just like her sister, able to calm the beasts inside the men. She and her younger sisters are kidnapped to help restore Ragnvald's pack. She eventually agrees so she can go home and return to her normal life. Her plans did not include falling for both warriors.

Great story. Looking forward to the next story. The narrator's voice is silky smooth and he sits a great job for all the characters.

I love a strong heroine like Sabine

I love Lee Savino's Berserker books. I've read them all and love them. They're ridiculously sexy with strong vivid characters who come alive in the hands of a master author. But when you add narration by a smokey Scottish accent, you have panty melting heat!
Robert Ross has a gloriously smooth burr that breathes life into the Berserker characters. Especially during the menage scenes. (The phrase "talk dirty to me" is apt.) The only problem I have with his performance is that it is sometimes hard to tell which Berserker is talking. I'd like a little more difference and definition in the character's voices. However, he still manages to bring all the emotions of the characters into play. You can feel Sabine's pain, especially during the final scenes.
I'll be the first to admit that you really need to read (or listen to) the books in order. This is not the first book in the series and if you jump into this one before the others, you may be a little lost. Brenna's story comes first, and if Robert Ross also narrates it, you really, really want to listen to it. But this story is the one I'm reviewing. The sex is hot, the story is gripping and intriguing, and it's so very well written and well narrated.

4.5 Stars

I am loving this series. I almost didn't pick it up but now i can't stop listening. These sisters are taking everything with a grain of salt knowing that it could be worse. However, Sabine thought she had a better plan for her life. Until Maddox show up and changed everything. Though I get why she was upset, for some reason I wanted her to handle it better. It is still worth the read.

Similar Yet Different Enough

Sabine has a similar story to her sister Brenna's. It's a different pack, different cave, different love interests, different method of acquisition, and she can talk and truly sass back yet it's very similar. Even with the similarities, it's a smokin' hot read with Maddox and Ragnvald laying claim to the "little witch," as she's affectionately called.

I like that we get to see Brenna and her men, even if only briefly. I also enjoyed the audio, in addition to the text, with Robert Ross forging ahead. His accent really does things for me. 😍⭐💥⚡🔥

So, I mentioned Brenna's story. You don't need to read it to enjoy this installment to the series but some aspects will make more sense if you do.

Undeniably and Utter Surprise and Perfection

I absolutely loved this audio book! The narrator literally took my breath away with his incredible accent and his marvelous performance. A narrator can make or break a story, and this one lifted this one to the very heights of Heaven itself. He uplifted and embraced every part of this wonderful storyline, and showed just how marvelous and unforgettable it is.

I loved how original and brilliant this book is. It is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the shifter legends. I love to be challenged by an author, and this one made me work every second I savored its beautiful journey. I couldn't have asked for more, and I cherished every moment of this fascinating story.

This is a new author for me, and I can't wait to read more from her! This sounds like a fantastic and fascinating series that I would love to sink my teeth into!! Her writing is top notch and incredibly moving. I couldn't get enough of her world or her fabulous characters. Simply perfection!!

Mythical Steamy Shifter Menage

This is a great series - all books! It is a unique and medieval take on the shifter genre, like Norse Mythology on testosterone. Although Alphas, the heroes are kind, protective and are coaxing the heroin, who is no pushover. The erotic scenes are tastefully written and the few BDSM elements in the story are honourable and none degrading. The all male narration fits the story like a glove in my opinion - with a sexy Scottish burr. This is one of my top favourite series, that is speaking to my soul. I can only recommend reading. It is loosely comparable with the Wolf Clan Shifters Series by Ann Gimpel.

Story improved deeper . . . narrator did not

The series has moved on from Brenna and Daegon and Samuel and the highland pack down to Maddox and the lowland pack and Sabine. He stalked her for many moons. He longed for her but did not want to force her hand. She was more then he could have dreamed of all these many years. There was another that needed her so much more. Sabine was strong, smart, and a bit foolish. She was no one walking mat. She was more. She felt that she was never going to love or have a man in her life. She never dreamed that the male that claimed her heart would be a berserker or two. This is my third book with Robert Ross as the narrator and I still have not got accustom to his gruffness in the feminine parts. I also found that the audio repeated in a few spots.
