Decent sampling of author's work

Would you recommend Take a Chance on Me: A Romance Collection to your friends? Why or why not?

yes it is a good way to get a sampling of author

Would you listen to another book narrated by Leah Frederick?

yes I liked the narrator and think she did a really good job

Any additional comments?

I listened to the audio version of this and it was really good. This is a collection of 4 short stories. They were very cute and happy stories and I liked them all. This is a good way to decide if you like the author by listening to a sampling of her stories. Be aware these are not full blown stories they are just little ones but I think they worked being all together

Short and Sweet

Who was your favorite character and why?

Emma was a nice mixture of sass and cute, I really liked the conversations between her and Rafik.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I never cried but the story Chance Encounter surprised me by being kind of sad.

Missing too much.

I was pretty disappointed in this book. I've read romantic short stories before, but this felt more like drafts. Not to say that the stories were badly written or had a terrible plot, but they felt so very incomplete. It was as if huge chunks of romantic novels were removed to create a short story with only the bare bones remaining.

Leah Frederick did a really good job, given what she had. The characters were interesting and had more personality than the story showed.

Missing too much.
