What an inspiration for anyone with Irish roots — and for those who wish they had them. The author’s descriptions of the landscape conjure vivid visions of Ireland’s uniquely textured greens, complete with mist, light, and even rainbows — the very images that come to mind whenever Ireland is mentioned.

I especially loved the seamless blend of fairies and folklore with the angst, joy, and music woven into Irish culture. These timeless elements are beautifully contained within a contemporary story of searching and self-discovery. The result is both magical and deeply human.
