great value for under $5

the author touches on the principles but does not walk the listener through specific techniques of striking or blocking. rather, he explained the breathing, posture, and mentality. ultimately everything you need outside of jet li films at an affordable price to begin low speed practice emulating YouTube videos. as an active full contact mma athlete new to the Chinese ways, I would recommend the practical Kung fu student listen to this book and this book only for wushu on audible because more expensive books can't teach you much beyond what is included here without visual demonstration anyway. the only chi elements I've found useful in the ring while sparing, honestly, are the breathing, looseness, posture, and other foundational principles of this art. I don't recommend audible for learning strikes, let this be your only expenditure on audible for Tai Chi .

Short but just what I needed

If you are interested in learning more about Tai Chi but unsure about attending a class it is worth buying. The author does a great job packing information in a short format without overwhelming or losing the essence.

a very good outline

I was not a big fan of the narrator, I think he really took a lot away from the material. but the book was well thought out and provided a good basic outline in the practices of tai chi. great for a beginner and very insightful.

Aside from the narrator saying "ex-specially," this was a great, brief, concise book. Totally worth the time and few dollars.

Basic info about Tai Chi

This book was alright. It provided basic information about the history of Tai Chi, described some principles of Tai Chi, and gave examples of the benefits of practicing Tai Chi. For a few dollars, it was worth it. Good narration as well.

Nice introduction

Helpful for me as a beginner to hear the basics. I was looking for a little more on the history and philosophy of the origins of Tai Chi. But it was nice for it be very simple.

Good intro

Nice broad stroke review. Can't believe that the narrator says ex-specially. Enjoyed the 12 step breathing exercise.
