With Project Nemesis, Jeremy Robinson introduced the world of popular fiction to Kaiju, a word that has become popularized by the movie Pacific Rim, and is associated with classic movie monsters such as Godzilla and Gamera. In the year since the release of Project Nemesis, the audiobook has become the best-selling original Kaiju novel of all time, and it is being featured in the video game Colossal Kaiju Combat: Fall of Nemesis. In Project Maigo, Robinson amps up the scale, the characters and the city-stomping action, treating listeners to a truly monstrous experience typically reserved for the big screen.

Publisher's Summary
After a terrorist attack on a reservation in Oregon leaves thousands dead, Jack Sigler, call sign King and his Chess Team - Queen, Rook, Bishop and Knight - must protect the only survivor, thirteen year-old Fiona Lane. When a death in the family pulls King away, and the rest of the team is sent on a mission, Fort Bragg is attacked by a strange and overwhelming force. When the dust settles, Fiona is gone.
But the attack is part of a larger offensive. Around the world the last speakers of ancient languages are being systematically exterminated. As they fight to find the mastermind behind the killings, and Fiona, the team is hunted by strange creatures that defy explanation - living statues, genetically modified monsters and walking megaliths - sent by an enemy from their past. If not stopped, he will be able to remake himself, and the world.
Calling on help from old friends and ancient heroes, the team fights their most desperate battle yet, not just to save the world as we know it, but to rescue a little girl who wants nothing more than to call King Dad.
An ancient tower holds the key to unlocking a horrifying secret hidden within mankind's most antiquated languages. If unlocked, the world as we know it will cease to exist.
Jeremy Robinson's third book in the Jack Sigler series is a rocket-powered thriller, combining high adrenaline action, smart science, ancient legends, and stunning locations.

Chess team adventure
Robinson has written another fast paced adventure in which super soldiers have to face supernatural forces in order to save the world. After a massacre with a lone survivor King is faced with personal tragedy in which he has no time for because the world has gone to hell. The team is sent out on a mission without King, but he can’t be out done because he has to save Fort Bragg all by himself. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a read/listen in which you can turn the brain off and just relax and have some fun.

Great book but the audible structure is bad
The book is great. The narration is great. I really enjoy these books. Now can anyone tell me why the chapter structure is off? I mean 3 chapters in one. You cannot move easily between chapters. You have to scroll in one chapter to reach the actual chapters in between. So if you set the sleep timer you will have a harder time finding your place. But that being said, the book is fun and still worth a credit.

Chess Team Checkmates again
Another wonderful installment of the Chess Team series. Building on the past and setting up future events leaving you satisfied but impatient for more. Again Robinson and Kafer work great together with Robinson writing and Kafer's excellent delivery of the characters. Plus a funny way to show Mr. Kafer he cares is inserted by Mr. Robinson. Pay attention to character names.

Really warming to this series
I wasn't quite sure about the first, which I bought on spec, the second I liked much more and this one was even better. Unlike the Joe Ledger series that these are very much akin to, this is very much a continuing narrative rather than distinct stories with common threads.
So much so that these cliffhang at the end of each, well have done so far anyway.
Very enjoyable fantasy adventure and I'll certainly be getting the next one
