Publisher's Summary

Have your senses been troubling you? If so, you might be suffering from a condition related to sensual deviation and - mingling sound, taste, touch, and sight - called synesthesia. For those who experience this, the senses may overlap. This clear, concise book will inspire you that, no matter how rare synesthesia may seem, you are not alone.

This fascinating but confusing phenomenon is explained in great detail. For those who are intrigued by the perception of the senses, this book is a great description of the known physiology of synesthesia and the ways the individuals with it see, taste, hear, taste, and touch the world. It’s a straightforward guide that can help you understand perceptions in a unique way. You’ll hear about subtopics such as:

  • What synesthesia is, and why it is so rare but worth studying
  • A list of surprising signs that you might have a form of synesthesia
  • The classified categories of synesthesia, and all that pertains to them
  • The main disadvantages of synesthesia and how to handle those impairments the best way
  • How caregivers and parents can support children with synesthesia
  • How synesthesia can grow during someone’s childhood but die out later

Anyone without a background in psychology could listen to to this clear and comprehensible book completely and thoroughly enjoy it. If you want to know more about synesthesia, its symptoms, causes, and solutions then this book is definitely for you.

Can't forget synesthesia!

I definitely found the information in this audiobook good. I can't say much else about it.. You can learn a lot just by sitting back in the car and closing your eyes and that's all there is to it. It's a brain issue, and it deserves some attention.

A lot of people

Many people don't know much about synesthesia. I find myself among the ignorant, but at least this gave me a greater perspective on it.

Amazing guide

And I know that this may sound biased, but that's absolutely not true. It was great. And no complaints on my end.

Syneswhatwhat?

I didn't know much about this topic, but it showed a picture of the brain, and I'm always interested in that. Great book.
