Just a bunch of rambling nonsense

I am usually drawn to stories based in an interesting premise, and this one felt promising. Alas, the execution left much to desire. Instead of exploring the question of the existence of the Sympathy Tower, the main character went the more introspective route, but even that felt uninspired.
