Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Included on the recording are several shorter works. The Ainulindalë is a myth of the Creation and in the Valaquenta the nature and powers of each of the gods is described. The Akallabêth recounts the downfall of the great island kingdom of Númenor at the end of the Second Age, and Of the Rings of Power tells of the great events at the end of the Third Age.

The humans have no magic and are hunted for sport, but that is about to change. War is coming.... The Sun Dragon spawned nine lesser dragons which devoured their parent for the power the elder possessed. These young dragons fought for choice bits of the Sun Dragon, but each only managed to eat a portion, thus giving them specific powers. Over time, these foul dragons were hunted down and slain by heroes of old.

Great story, but...
Weak actor, he should dedicated his talent to romantic novels, but not an action story like the Witcher, very mellow way to narrate. Also Dandelion sounds so weak and feminine, and everyone now he is also a great fight companion.
I’m very disappointed with his performance.

I’ve listened to the first two books and love it. It can be hard to understand at time because it does jump around from past to present at time and if you’re not paying attention you may get lost or it may be irritating. Just listen to the damn series.

Great Story, GREAT Narration
I really enjoyed these "short stories” about Geralt’s adventures many of which inspired episodes of the Netflix series season 1.
The narration is as good as any I have ever heard. I could immediately tell who was speaking and the acting Peter Kenny can do with his voice seriously raised my enjoyment of this book. This is what it sounds like in my head when I am reading. Narrator of the year.

Emotional Rollercoaster 🎢
Very good! Less action than the last one, with lots more emotion. It definitely fleshes out the story, though at times it can be a bit confusing as it seems to jump around the overall timeline.

Toss a Coin to your Narrator
Brilliant performances of each character, it was easy to tell who was who and it made listening a pleasure.

Loved this refreshing new take on fantasy genre
Fun new lore filled world. Deeply rich and well written prose. Well done on the translation and most of all on the content!!!!
