Publisher's summary

Britt Bradford and Zander Ford have been the best of friends since they met 13 years ago. Unbeknown to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long.

Independent and adventurous Britt channels her talent into creating chocolates at her hometown shop. Zander is a best-selling author who's spent the past 18 months traveling the world. He's achieved a great deal but still lacks the only thing that ever truly mattered to him - Britt's heart.

When Zander's uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Merryweather, Washington, to investigate, and Britt is immediately there to help. Although this throws them into close proximity, both understand that an attempt at romance could jeopardize their once-in-a-lifetime friendship. But while Britt is determined to resist any change in their relationship, Zander finds it increasingly difficult to keep his feelings hidden.

As they work together to uncover his uncle's tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also, finally, come to light?

Funny and Wonderful

I love Miss Wade’s humour- the witty banter- all of it. The sisters’ relationships with each other are a bit unrealistic but something to strive for- total acceptance of each other’s differences. Love the characters of Zander and Brit, and how Brit really does change into a more mature, less independent and even more lovable character. Well done!!

Perfect end to the series

There were some voices I didn't really like (Clint sounded too feminine in my opinion), but I loved the story, the plot, the characters, everything! I'll definitely listen to this again!

Enjoyable!

Still a great story and the mystery was great … but I struggled a bit with Brit …. and the lack of communication because of the lack of being honest … it dragged a bit for me … but as human’s we do sometimes drag our feet… surrendering so opposite to our nature.

Amazing read

I loved how the author wove witty dialogue, suspense, and love into the incredibly “sweet” romance of a chocolatier.

Hold on to me

“She wanted to weep and laugh and dance…” – this is how I felt while reading. Really enjoyed the series and I’m sad that this is the last book.
It was a great reminder that sometimes God performs a spring cleaning to get read of the debris that separates us from Him.
Great narration!!!

Wonderfully Sweet!

This is officially my favorite book of this series! I loved the other stories but this was a long time love waiting for the right time to blossom. I loved every minute of it!
The writing is superb. The drama, the danger, the love, left me speechless.
Ever patient, always loving, Zander finally kisses Britt Bradford. She is afraid to hurt their friendship.
The trials these two face are nearly insurmountable. It is only when they each, separately, learn to lean on and trust God's strength, instead of their own, that love is finally free to bloom.
The narration was excellent! Stephanie Cozart truly brought Becky Wade's amazing story to life.
I highly recommend this audiobook!!!

Too much

This series is very entertaining with its mysteries and romances, but for a Christian novel, it focuses too much on worldly priorities of appearance, beauty, and handsomeness, and reinforces for women the fallacy that we cannot be accepted or happy without being beautiful, and that the men we should love are only the most handsome ones. It also crosses the line into too much sensuality that tempts us to feel the sexual tension. This is a clear goal in all books of this series, even mentioning it by name.

It's disappointing because Becky is a good writer, but I won't listen to any more of her stories because I choose to guard my heart.

A story of uncommon devotion, rich with romance and spiced with suspense

Just like Britt Bradford’s chocolates, this story was perfectly tempered with themes of belonging, identity, sacrifice, and devotion. The slow, sweet journey of Britt and Zander’s friends-to-more romance balances well with the excitement of a decades-old art heist mystery the couple aims to solve. The final pages are sure to pull a sigh from the depths of your lungs! Highly recommended!

Good story, well read

This was a good story, not my favorite by Becky Wade. I found The heroine somewhat annoying, and while the hero was a nice guy he just seemed a bit too much like his life wasn’t worth living if he lost the girl for me. While it may sound romantic, it also doesn’t seem terribly healthy. But they were both works in progress as people are in real life. It was an enjoyable listen, enjoyed the mystery as well.
