Enjoyed the pace of the story and colorful characters. Its refreshing to listen to the period.

Great book, perfect narration

Jerry Farden’s narration makes the experience twice as beautiful. I liked cannery Row more but this book was also very pleasant to listen to

I've loved this book since I first read it decades ago--Farden's reading is wry, clear, and sympathetic.
