Publisher's Summary

Double fudge...toasted coconut...key lime...strawberry cream... Every bite is a mouthful of heaven. And the women of the Cupcake Club are bringing their appetites....

Riley Brown never imagined she would find her bliss on Georgia's quiet Sugarberry Island after years of Chicago's city life. With a new career and fantastic new friends, she's got it all - except for eligible men. But a gig staging a renovated beach house delivers a delicious treat - six feet of blue-eyed, gorgeous writer as delectable and Southern as pecan pie. Quinn Brannigan has come to Sugarberry to finish his latest novel in peace, and suddenly Riley has a taste for the bad boy author that no amount of mocha latte buttercream or lemon mousse will satisfy....

One of the most honest grin-inducing stories of scarily falling in love

I’m sure I can’t tell whether it was story or the narration that kept me up all night listening. And then listening all over again the next day. Donna Kauffman doesn’t just tell you that it’s nerve-wracking and scary and fun to fall in love. She shows you. And Amanda Ronconi somehow voiced a Quinn I fell in love with and wanted to listen to for hours. Thank you both for this gem!

Meh

Since I listened to the first in the series I thought I’d listen to the second. This one is a bit sappy for me. I liked the first better than this

So very sweet!!

Absolutely adorable!! I liked this one better than the first in the series and it was really good! The characters are sweet, funny and manage to get out their own way to find their HEA. Wonderful narration.

Too many bakers in the kitchen

I listened to the audio book or I may not have gotten past the third chapter. This was a cute story that gave me a tooth ache. Yes they lived happily ever after, but for crying-out-loud did Riley need to take 20 minutes to analyze the heck out of everything!!!! Geesh, enough is enough. Probably won’t choose any others from this series.

Interesting

This was a good book. It was interesting and kept my attention. I usually don’t go for books like this “romance” or whatever but this was light and sweet and hot in some places 😉. The narrator was really talented. The characters were light and at the end the entire book just makes you feel good. Have fun in Sugarberry!

Such a sweet series :)

This continues to be a fun sweet series. It's easy and delightful with some romance/sexiness as well. It's not over the top just a tad. I've already started Book 3 and am a new fan of Donna Kauffman. I have loved Amanda Ronconi's narration in other books and she continues to do a fantastic job.

Light and Easy Listen

This was a fun, easy listen. Enjoyed the characters and continuation of their stories through the series, but was a little one-note in terms of the story. Any conflict between characters happened in the past and they were working on being together now, so it was just mental hang-ups keeping the main characters apart. No real tension so the story's climax felt like it fell a little flat.
Listened as part of Audible's new Member Benefit Free Listens and enjoyed it, but likely wouldn't have spent money or a credit on it to buy it.

Just bad.

I had this going at 2x speed and it still moved too slow. This is supposed to be a romance but a very very large portion was just about her friends. The narrator is awful at accents. All of them.

It was sweet

Would you consider the audio edition of Sweet Stuff to be better than the print version?

Amanda Ronconi makes all stories better!

Would you recommend Sweet Stuff to your friends? Why or why not?

I liked Riley’s story. I enjoyed that her character isn’t the perfect everything that she could be anyone you know. It’s a very sweet story with lots of mishaps to keep it fun and an adorable mastiff

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Each character has their own voice and she doesn’t seem to have the issues with switching between them. She makes you feel what each character is feeling as if you were them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes
