A wonderful age gap omegaverse

First of all don’t let the length of the story fool you. Though it a novella the story is well developed and the characters are well rounded. I love seeing this side of the head of the amethyst clan. His care and compassion for Swallow(Walter) moved me to tears. Walter is so broken by the abuse he suffered in his clan’s hands and I love how well suited they are. Totally enjoyed the immersive experience that is Michael’s narration. He just brought out all the feels. I will definitely recommend you listen to the previous books in the series because of the world building. The characters from previous books do have cameo in this one and I don’t know how he kept them straight in his head. Get it! Worth every penny.

Love this series

Getting past what happened to Walter, it was a fairly low angst read. It took a little bit for Grim to show him that he was safe and wanted.

Wally and Grimbold were perfect!
This book will make you fall in love with the Drake patriarch. Grim takes Wally under his dragonny wing, and he flourishes beautifully under his care and love.
We also get to spend time with our favorite doctor and his scrumptious pork chop!
Absolutely loved it! I could read about this universe ALL DAY!

It’s Grandpa Grimmy’s turn

An omega who has been treated very unkindly who is fragile and scared meets a kind, sweet, protective, dragon. Wally had no idea such a thing existed. Grim is finally settled and he’s so sweet I think I got a cavity. Good addition to the series.

Loved this hurt/comfort age gap romance!

Narration: Michael Ferraiuolo has done a stellar job narrating this book and the main series. I can’t believe how many unique voices he can do! And his narration of the spicy scenes? Perfection!

Story: It grabbed me from the first chapter and I read it in one sitting. I’m glad we get to see Grimbold find love! I wasn’t sure he’d get his own story, so this was a pleasant surprise. And Wally is such a sweetheart! I’m such a sucker for hurt/comfort with a protective lover and this hit all the buttons. My only complaint? It was so short! This book could have been double the pages and I would have loved every moment. Especially if we could have gotten more of Sassy Wally. But I’m glad we got their story and I’m looking forward to more in this world.

Perfection

I absolutely LOVED the Forbidden Desires Series, and was so excited when the spin-off came out! I wasn't ready to give up the world with snarky, yet lovable dragons and the men they love! Though this isn't a "typical" mpreg story, I loved the unique way the dragons and humans have their children. In Swallow, we get a chance to see some of our favorite characters from the Forbidden Desires Sereis - which is a joy for anyone who enjoyed that series! The unique part of this book/series, is the relationships between the dragons and men are not perfect from the start! The nature of the dragons means a rocky start to these encounters, allowing for some fun and entertaining dialogues and situations!
The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo was absolute perfection! He is able to perfectly execute both the level of snark and attitude of the dragons, while also coming across as sweet and loving when called for.
Can't wait for more!

Story comment: Another great addition to the Forbidden Desires series, it would be best enjoyed if the reader is familiar with the dynamics of this Dragon shifter series, it could be a little confusing if you are unfamiliar with the other characters and some of the terms.

I enjoyed Grim's story and i'm happy he got a second chance at love and we got to see see a softer side of the gruff Drake patriarch - I wish this had been a full length novel, Grim and Wally are a great couple and I would have liked to see more of their time together.

I can't imagine a better narrator for this book. Michael Ferraiuolo's narration style is perfect for this series. Each character has a separate voice to the narrative that reflects the character's personality and accent perfectly. His rhythm, inflections and intonations all work to bring the story to life.

Grimbold gets his Mate

I loved this book, and the audio just makes it even better. Michael Ferraiuolo's narration is always amazing and he nailed Grimbold and Wally.

Wally is so sweet and his love of all things Buffy and Giles is adorable. I loved seeing Grimbold's patience and care of Wally. And it's great to see all the familiar faces. If you've read the original series, have no fear, Everard's nicknames continue. This is easily one of my favorite books and audios.

His Safe Place

Swallow was an omega who was treated like dirt under ones shoe and who was always looking for the next hit, one who didnt understand compassion and care.
When he was thrust into a new world, he was lost.
Grimbold Drake was a gentle sould underneath his tough exterior and all he needed was a broken soul to take care of.

This plot was on the sweeter side and I enjoyed seeing these characters build a bond of trust and care.

The narration was fantastic and I loved that Michael stayed true to Grimbolds previous voice. A real treat to listen to.

Fantastic!

I love all of the audio books in this series. The narrator does a fantastic job bringing all of these characters to life. I was very excited that the narrator didn't change how Grimbold sounds. I was afraid that he would try to tone down the gruffness of the character's voice as it sounds in the other three books. But he doesn't do that and I absolutely loved it. Fantastic job.
