Publisher's Summary

Red always knew she would have to face the man who nearly destroyed her. She just didn’t figure it would happen so soon....

With the plague sweeping across the nation, destroying many and turning others into walking corpses, survivors head West in search of a chosen land, a place designed to keep the infected out, while sealing survivors inside. In theory, the idea seems the only way to keep humanity alive. In practice, it doesn’t matter whether a person is on the inside or the out - there is no humanity.

...And even though John Gatherum hunted her down and instigated their reunion, Red’s no longer the passive girl he once manipulated. This time, she has a hidden agenda of her own.

Kill him. Save her family. Save herself.

Great series!

This is a great story that mixes the old west and a zombie apocalypse. Very well done.

Good, but I liked Wanted more

Red started the series as an awesome character that has lost a little of her edge. Though her changes are nice twist and add a different layer compared with most zombie stories that I have read (other than "The Girl with All the Gifts") it felt like the part they emphasized (the wanted posters and John) dragged on. The separation and travel dragged on a little more than I would have liked. Don't get me wrong, it was still an enjoyable book, I just don't think is was as exciting as the first. Hopefully the third will pick it back up.

Zombies & the Old West!

Survivor Roundup is an excellent addition to the Zombie West series, an Old West zombie thriller. The zombie plague has swept across the land, turning many into the walking dead. Red and Trace rise to the occasion, finding shelter behind thick walls at the old fort. As the supplies run low, they scavenge in the treacherous wasteland for food and anything that can help them survive. The storyline is pretty exciting, action-packed with loads of zombies. Angela Scott has done a fantastic job with the plot and character development; I was utterly immersed and finished the audiobook in one sitting. Red and Trace are awesome and make an impressive team. I enjoyed their interactions and dialogue. The ending was great, and I can't wait to dive into the third book. Rebecca Roberts did an excellent job with the narrations, bringing the story to life. Overall, this was an entertaining listen, and I recommend it. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
