Publisher's Summary

This is a revealing and inspirational memoir by Casey Hammer, sole granddaughter of the American billionaire, industrialist, art collector, and philanthropist, Armand Hammer.

Surviving My Birthright is a story of hope, love, and the reclamation of empowerment. Casey's is a journey of discovery - recounting many years of blocked memories, violence, nightmares, hazardous behavior, guilt, and feeling unworthy of joy or happiness.

By taking responsibility for her life, no longer being prepared to accept the role of victim, and by facing the truth, Casey began to heal. Hopefully, her story will inspire many others to do the same.

Can I get my money back?

This is the first book I’ve ever purchased that I actually want to return! The narrator is much younger than the author so it makes the content unbelievable. And the content....
It’s just a very poorly written tale. Was this supposed to be a “tell all”? If so, it missed the mark. In light of current headlines about another family member, this book barely scratched the surface of what appears to be a deeply troubled family. Was it simply a “remembrance of things past”? Again, it missed the mark.

Overall good

The narrator is mispronouncing the word “executor” as in executor of a an estate or a will. She is pronouncing it is as executor, as in someone who is executing someone. It’s bugging me.

Amazing!! Was hooked from start to finish.

Loved this book from beginning to end. I did the audible and finished in 2 days. Could not stop listening. I've been following the current situation with the Armie Hammer scandal and this book solidified the craziness of the family. It certainly did not start with Armie...
