Publisher's Summary

An heiress without a cause. Two billionaires determined to claim her. And a war fought on the most dangerous battlefield - the heart.

My story starts with a plunge into the cold water of Manhattan's harbor. A strong hand hauls me back onto the deck of the luxury yacht. Christopher was supposed to be my enemy. Instead he protects me with fierce determination.

That should have been my happily ever after, but then Sutton appeared - ruthless and seductive. He doesn't care that my heart belongs to someone else, because he's determined to win. No matter the cost.

It's an impossible choice, but I can't have them both.

Erin Mallon's Performance is BRILLIANT! 4.5 STARS!

Nothing like having a story come to life by one of your favorite performers, and in this case I'm talking about the amazing Erin Mallon, who's just brilliant!!

Survival of the Richest is Book 1 in the Trust Fund Duet, and even though I read the complete duet, my perseption of the story have completely changed after Erin's performance, and so did my rating!! Now I can't wait lo lsiten to book 2, The Evolution of Man!!

Listening and reading are two different wonderful experiences when there is a great story and the author's nail it with the performer!! I'm not going into detail with the storyline because there had been enough spoilers and I don't want to ruin it for you guys. However, one thing I can assure you is that listening to this story is going to blow your mind!!

I can't wait to find out if Christopher, Sutton and Harper found their HEA!! I need the next audiobooks ASAP!!!

Intoxicating Love Triangle

Survival of the Richest (The Trust Fund Duet #1) is a intriguing tale that begins with betrayal. I love the history prologue that leads into the current time. Character's are compelling with complex personalities that are intriguing and you wish you could get into their heads. With a wind-swept tour of money, a twisty and scandalous narrative that interwines with a intoxicating love triangle. Just the right does of ingredients which include angst, greed, love and lust to create a ensorcelled listen.

Erin Malon naration will put you under a spell. I was able to easily distinct between the voices, including the males ones. Her performance had just the right amount of angst & passion to leap off the pages into reality.

Looking forward to listening to book two, The Evolution Of Man in The Trust Fund Duet.

Poor little rich girl

Fast paced and addictive. Erin Mallon is narrator royalty in my opinion and she doesn’t disappoint here.

Skye Warren is a master of writing relatively short stories that are so full of drama, intrigue and betrayal you are on the edge of your seat the whole time. It’s one of those stories where you’re glad it’s audio because you still need to do dishes and start another load of laundry but you absolutely need to know what happens next.

You will both love and hate the characters. Your loyalties will change as the story progresses. And you will gasp WTF as a recurring mantra. I would recommend this to anyone who loves ballsy heroines, twists and turns and erotic tension.

There are tie ins to Warren’s Endgame And Masterpiece Series which can be read before but not required. Of course if you’re like me you can fangirl every time you recognize a character.

A very strong emotional story

This story was intense and very emotional, but also confusing...... and it’s a cliffhanger so hang on!!!
I’m diving in to the next one.
Good storyline
Great characters that’s developed in to complex personalities. The only thing I feel lacking is the males POV, but this author is a master writer so it’s not a very strong feeling.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Surprising love scenes that was steaming hot.

I recommend this series even if it’s a cliffhanger...

Narrator:
Good and clear pronunciation and read with feelings.
At times the squeaky noise she’s making at times is a little annoying but all in all it’s very good.

Survival of the Richest

A bit of info about this book before you start: It starts with the prologue Trust Fund. This book ends in a cliff hanger its conclusion is already out The Evolution of Man. Also the whole story is a love triangle between Harper, Christopher, and Sutton.

I couldn't stop listening, I was so enraptured by this story. On the outside Harper looks like a spoiled poor little rich girl, but she lives between two different worlds because of her parents divorce, and the bitterness between them. Harper is meeting her step mother and step brother (Christopher) for the first time when he saves her from drowning and she develops a crush. They start an easy friendship of sorts by writing each other back and forth over 3 years. The next time they see each other is the same night her father dies. Harper receives her fathers full inheritance but Christopher is to over see that Harper uses the money according to the will until she turns 25. This is when the tables turn for Harper and Christopher. He has turned cold towards Harper, and now holds the inheritance over her head. When Harper meets Sutton, Christopher's business partner, she finds him to be protective and charming with a bit of southern gentleman to him.

Harper finds herself in a tug of war pulled between both of these men and their personalities. The entire story is full of twists and turns, an emotional tangle between a young adult crush that utterly disappointed you when you needed them most, and someone that could be so much more.

The audio by Erin Mallon was amazing, as always. She is a favorite Narrator of mine.

Duplicity abounds

This story made me feel like I was watching a tennis match. From one duplicitous moment to another, I listened as Harper navigated the mine fields that are Christopher and Sutton. This story was filled with angst and more tension that I thought possible. Will Harper end up with Sutton or Christopher? Which one is actually doing the right thing for Harper? Two alpha males are fighting for her eye and as each one wins it, the other comes back to steal it away again. Very tension filled story that leaves us on a cliff-hanger waiting to see what happens next. The narrator brought the tension filled story to life, but I definitely di not like the always present long breath/wording at the end of every sentence. That made the listening a bit annoying after a while. It's like a hard habit to break, but needs to be broken.

bad

the woman who reads it is so....breathy...like every breath was a sigh. and the story overoverall seems like it was meant for a 12 year old girl...but in its defense, maybe it was. Honestly I think I just picked the wrong "survival of the ritchest"

Part 1 of a drama filled romance

I want to start off my saying that I did enjoy listening to this story but I feel like it needed a little bit more to it. I do think this story did a good job setting up book 2. This story is left in a cliffhanger of sorts. I do have to say the I have listened to many a books by Erin Mallon and like the others I enjoyed her work.

Wow!!!! This was super unexpected. I love that Trust Fund (prequel) was included in this audio. The backstory was needed. I'm so glad I went in blind and how it ended on a twisted note. I look forward to the conclusion! Erin of course did an amazing narrating job.

Who does she love

Amazing twisting love triangle. Who does Harper love is it her childhood crush or is it Sutton that she loves? In the end she finds out that Christopher loves her more than she ever knew. What is she going I do with this information? This book leaves you with a cliffhanger but so thankful I can read the next one.

Sky Warren killed it with this one.

Harper, the female MC is written so well that I felt everything she went through. Her emotions became mine and it was quite the ride. Thankfully for once I completely understood the choices she was making. None of that OMG why is she doing that🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ in this book. I loved how there is so much going on that you have no lulls. It never felt forced just well written. Everything flows and sounds natural. Speaking of sound Erin Mallon is in a league of her own. She is like a two for one deal. She does such a convincing Male voice I had to double check to see if this was a duet. Throw in the hot heavy scenes and this is no doubt worth a credit

This book is so good!

I love Skye Warrens writing! She is a must read for me and has been since I read my first of her books! This book,it’s so good! There is so much happening to so many characters in this story, that it keeps you wanting more. I love Harper, but she has so much going on in her life, even at age 15 she has seen and experienced so much! Her father and mother loved each other, maybe even still do.. although he has a shit way of showing it! They are divorced, but neither of them has found someone else who lasts... who fulfills what they need. There are a series of step parents and step children, and none of them last. Christopher is one of those step brothers, for a short period of time, but because of what he did for her on that first night they met, he becomes safety for her. She falls for him.. hard. Her father had plans they never knew about, and that messes everything up. Then comes Sutton, her mother’s illness, the library... and it all gets WAY more complicated!

There is so much angst and upheaval in this, and Skye Warren is so very good at making you want more, making you anticipate what will happen next! Erin Mallon could not have narrated this any better! Her character definition, and her ability to convey the hurt, anger, and every other feeling these characters have is spectacular! She has made my must listen list!

Great Audible Listen 🎧 Amazing! Emotional Chaos!

Wow, this story is a mind-blowing, one that causes whiplash, one you can not put down because you need to know why or what is going to happen next. Skye Warren has a way with words, she has a beautiful writing style, some of the dialogue she creates is almost poetic. There are so many great phrases in this book like words of wisdom. The characters are complex and she is slow in letting us know who they are. Harper appears to be an open book, Christopher and Sutton are another story and we learn more about them as the story goes on but never enough to really know them or what makes them tick. The chemistry between the three is explosive, but is that what will blow the triangle apart or was it something else. There is so much angst in this story, so much unresolved between them. I hope all is resolved and actions make sense in “The Evolution of Man” I need to know if Christopher was driven by love or greed and what Sutton’s deal is. Skye Warren, thanks for the great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listed to the Audible edition, Erin Mallon is a wonderful narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters to life, gives them heart, personality and their own unique voice. She switches characters flawlessly, keeps the story in a perfect flow & adds the right amount of dramatic flair which enhanced the story to anther level. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Love Triangle

What an amazing audiobook! The heroine is easy to love and root for. I agree that it is a true love triangle because I am so torn between these great guys. I was disappointed in Christopher but the end provided another twist!! Can hardly wait to start the final book to this duet. I love the sound of the narrators voice. She also did a fantastic job on putting voice to two larger than life men! Again, I loved it!

Love triangle!

The title of this book caught my attention, and once I saw it was written by Skye Warren, I had to listen. This is the story of Harper. She is a trust fund child, and her money is controlled by her former stepbrother Christopher. She never really interacted with her step siblings, her father was never married to long enough to make a relationship stick. But the chemistry with Chris was anything but brother-like. Now 7 years later, and in control of her spending, she faces him head on. When she comes and meets him, she also encounters his business partner, Sutton and their attraction cannot be denied. This is an oversimplification as Warren has woven in a history for Harper that definitely drives her. There is passion and chemistry with both men and I am left still wondering which direction she will end up taking! I think there is much more to both men that needs to be revealed. It's got my interest enough to want to listen to book two to see where this woman does end up and with who! .

Erin Mallon brings this new adult story to life with her incredible performance. She lights up a story with her fantastic voices and her style is so easy that I feel like I know each one of them. She pulls us in and keeps making our ears happy!
