Publisher's Summary

Lady Rosanna Kendall's heart was broken when the one man always loved told her he'd never marry, and even if he did she'd be his last choice. Shortly afterwards her eldest brother died in a freak accident sending her into mourning. During that time she picked up the tattered remains of her heart and hardened it. One day she'd marry and have a family of her own - love would be the last thing she'd expect to find.

Lord Dominic Rossington, the Marquess of Seabrook worked diligently as a spy for the war office. He led a dangerous life that had no place for a wife of family. He couldn't in good conscience encourage Lady Rosanna - even if she was his greatest desire.

Years later Dominic sees a way to free himself of his obligations to the crown and finally claim the one woman he's always wanted. All he has to do is complete one last mission and convince her she's the only one for him. Can they both survive his dangerous life long enough to find their happily-ever-after?

My favorite of the series!!!

Lord Dominic is everything Rosanna ever wanted. He's also everything I've ever wanted! I loved seeing Rosanna come in to her own and becoming such a strong woman. Dom has his work cut out for him trying to win her heart after he broke it years ago. Donna Vaughan did an excellent job bringing Rosanna story to life. I think she is my favorite narrator so far. As with all Dawn Brower books the story is well written, the characters we all ready know and love. Now I can't wait for Eve and Trenton's story.

Enjoyable

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I'd recommend it to regency romance fans and to those who like time travel stories. This is a good series and I have enjoyed listening to it. It had a nice blend of romance and suspense. The narration was good and very easy to listen to. Eve, again, makes a brief appearance is this installment and I can't wait to continue with the series to find out how things get resolved between her and Trenton.I voluntarily received a review copy.

Cute, dangerous, and exciting, narrator needs work

A cute listen which emotions of a love that will never be and two people who want it more than anything. Dom lives a dangerous life being a spy and will not take the chance that the woman he loves could be harm. Rosanna only understands that he doesn’t want anything to do with her and said such hurtful words. One night their woulds cross paths putting Roasanna in danger leaving Dom running close behind to safe her. There is a touch of time travel with an ending that could lead into the next story. There is danger, romance and twists that keeps the story interesting.

The narrator does a good job but repeats a lot of wording. She gives emotion but at times seems dry. There were no volume changes, it was a clean audio. Most of her character voices were nice, a few I didn’t care for. It wasn’t and audio that flowed easy and I did find my mind wondering but I always came back. For the most part I enjoyed this audio but feel the narrator needs to put a little more emotion into it at times and watch the repeating of words when she takes a break.

I thought this had a good plot, is well thought out and very interesting. I liked the characters, the drama, and emotions the author gives the story. It isn’t one of my favorite of hers but the narrator did take away from the story.
