Choice of narrator can ruin a great story

I was absolutely loving this series, so I bought the 4-6 book package before I realized Kevin Pierce wasn’t the narrator. I honestly don’t know if I can get through this. His emphasis on key words makes it sound like he’s always pissed off even in parts where he’s supposedly being gentle. This was just the wrong choice of narrator for this book. This is just my opinion. Makes the whole second half of the series just mediocre.

Narrator switch

Although I loved the story line, it was a bad move to change the Narrator right in the middle of a series. I love Kevin Pierce for this genre and it was a shock to hear a different Narrator in books 4-6. I continued the series because I was invested in the characters and story, but doubt I will spend the money on another book.

Starts good ends very poorly written

I wish I liked the series. The writing in the beginning started good then became very very poorly. One minute the plot is going one way the other it turns around then to go back and forth a few times more. The characters become unrealistically smart in their decisions and reasoning then the next moment stipid then smart again and so on again and again. The “battle scenes” are most likely written by a person who never handled a firearm and the ignorance of every basic aspect of a fight it shows galore. For example every bullet shot takes out an enemy instantly but when hit by a few or mauled by “monsters” the main characters “are fine”. The main character “loads another bullet” in a semiautomatic weapon. The plot gets saved unrealistically by “supplies and weapons and explosives” found at the right time. I could go on but it’s not worth it. Wish I could get back my time spent listening to this fiasco.

Bad narrators and bad editior.

The first 3 books of the series was great, however the narrator change was a bad move and the story line in the next 3 books has been hard to follow and it was just bad.

The narrator for books 4 through six ruined the way the story was going from books one through three. whereas the first bundle the narrator had a more serious tone, this narrator sounds goofy as hell and the voices that he uses for some of the characters ruin the character development that was made in the first bundle, why did the narrator change, it's horrible.
