Super Space Sex, plus a bad guy

This book really feels like a Harmon Cooper or JA Cipriano story melded into William D. Arand’s Super Sales on Super Heroes. That’s not bad, but it doesn’t have its own distinctive voice per se. The story itself is a Harem/Portal/Litrpg tale about a man framed for murder and is then abducted by aliens to be placed in their intergalactic jail for super criminals. His problem is, he doesn’t have any powers, and he makes some pretty powerful enemies as soon as he arrives. The book then turns into a survival, level up, stop the big bad who is coming story. That bit isn’t bad, but the tale is really swamped by sex scenes. Now, I get why the sex is important to the story, but the MC, Breaker, stops to have sex about every five minutes, even when he is on the clock and there is a timer counting down. Granted, there are times when the sex serves a purpose, but if you did a fade to black everytime he had sex you would probably shave an hour and a half off of the run time of the book. I’m no prude, and I am not offended by sex scenes, but sometimes the story should play out a bit more before the characters engage in coitus. Just as an example, in JA Cipriano’s the Pen is Mightier 2, the MC meets a girl in Vegas, and actually takes some time to get to know her before they finally do the deed. Here it was almost like a pizza guy making a delivery in a porno. Ding dong, Hi gotcher pizza! Thanks, you want a slice? Wink Wink. And that is a real shame because Breaker, and his bevy of beautiful bouncy babes all are interesting characters, and have some pretty cool back stories that could be further expounded upon. Their powers are all fairly unique, or at least used in new ways, and the leveling worked enough for me to consider this to be Litrpg.

The real saving grace here is the audible antics provided by Soundbooth Theater. The team is on point and packing heat for this one, and you can tell they were having fun with it. The girls really know how to turn on the naughty, and JTJ manages to make you believe he is just a regular guy simultaneously having the best and worst day of his life. Jiffy Jeff Hays gets to play the heavy, and he knows how to bring the menace and monstrous to a character. I know, I sound like a fanboy, but I know that when I have SBT as my auditory attackers that I will have been handed the best quality narration I could ask for.

Again, this could have been an amazing book, if Hawke had added some more story to make up for the overriding sex scenes. Then they wouldn’t have felt so overwhelming or broken the storyline up so much. I really think that we needed a little more time in the prison, with some added danger, a few more minor characters, and a little more revelation about all the fighting going on. We could have met a few more faction leaders, or some character that Breaker did not want to have sex with or get to have sex with.

My score would have been higher if this had been more fully fleshed out. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. Getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

30% awesome story line 70 % sex scenes..lol

it is worth a credit, but i recommend that u are used to sex scenes in books. i say again, there are tones of sex scenes... yet the storyline is origonal and the writing is well done. plus the narration is on point.

here are some spoilers if u wanna know aht its about..like stop reading right now if u dont want to know the plot.. but this may get u over the fence if u are still ambivolent. its about a guy alittle in the future when there is space travel. theres a certain system that humans colonized where the sun gives them powers. most ppl dont even know about this yet but probably thru some super power this guy who has hereditary powers is warped from earth to a space prison in this system. He has to stop the prison break of villians while teaming up with a few decent ppl....all while screwing pretty much everything that moves..to gain powers of course.....ahem so yea cool story, rediculous amount of sex. still worth a credit.

final note if the author reads this...please quit using the word pussy so much. its just so...crude. im not a big sex novel fan but ive heard enough of them to know what is ok and what is a little cringy. try entrence or some other elusive word once in a while lol it just got a little base at times.

but yea keep up the good work devil. ill get the next one when it comes out.

Had me intersted from start to finish. Can not wait for the sequel. Should be interesting.

Fun story

Though the intimate encounters are a bit funny to me after the number of steamy books I've recently listened to recently, the action is fun and the imagery is well played out. Great choose of narrators, in my not so humble opinion.

I really enjoyed this story and especially like Twitch and Charm. The male and female narrator's is definerly another beautiful quality of this. Looking forward to when book 2 hits audio.

Crappy romance/sex scenes.

sex should be in romance novels, not super short books.
I do not know anyone who likes to hear descriptions of women giving head, except for teenagers.

The narrator made Chad sound exactly like I thought he would. Everyone else made the rest sound how I imagined and they made everything exciting to listen to

This is an amazing book part of an amazing series. If I could listen to this again for the first time I would. I have listened to it about 10 times as well as the rest of the books that are part of the universe.

LitRPG Harem style to the Max

A not too bad premise for a story but i think it will need some more seasoning. More an enjoyment from the narration of the sex scenes than the story although I think it has some promise.
Not sure if i would buy the book but SBT narration helps this so more a 3.8 story and 5 star narration bringing this to a respectable 4 star. This was a in a giveaway so I have left my thoughts on this for you to peruse.

Seriously funny to listen to

An action packed story with a lot of " stress-relief" . short story recap (for more elaborate reviews, see the E-book reviews); The MC gets transported to a supermax prison ship in outer space, where he encounters super-heroes...well...errr...super-villains to be more accurate. He slowly grows into his own power, which is sex-related in order to gain and access...not a big surprise, but makes for funny situations! Goal is to get to the bridge, before time runs out and survive the opposing powers to get there. Along the way the mC gains friends and makes enemies. The sex scenes are plenty, although not always truly necessary for the story progression. The audio/ voices are really good. I read the story first, some time ago, but it's not necessary to read the book, to understand and follow this audio-book, I had some where this was the case, but not this one. Clear and very well understandable, easy to follow. Personal tastes aside, I think the character's voices are well chosen too. I wouldn't say this is a must have, but I do recommend it, if you're looking for some entertaining story, with quite the portion of adult lewdness to top it all off !

Definetly only for adults and fun hero story

Soooo... First after all it was interesting story with a plenty of action loads of superheroes with different powers. I enjoyed world building a lot. Characters were fun and unique in their own way at least the main ones. This story is clearly more orientated for male readers. Narrations was amazing with a multiple narrators (poor guys what they had to endure😂😂) It was first time I listened/read book with so much adult content and experience overall was good😁
