Publisher's Summary

A Marine in space, three hot super ladies, and an army of supervillains out to get them. What could go wrong?

All I wanted to do was have some R&R from my time in space with the Marine Corps. My tour was done, my days fighting bad guys over once and for all.

Or so I thought. But damn was I wrong. So f--king wrong.

Imagine being told you're going to be responsible for bringing a child into the world, one who would have the power to change it all, to once and for all fight off the evil forces threatening to enslave our galaxy and that of the supers who brought the message.

That's what happened to me, and now I have to fly across a foreign galaxy and find the super women whose DNA would combine with mine to make the perfect match. We're being hunted by supervillains whose mission it is to terminate us, fighting off their minions while, well…you know. Doing what needs to be done to try and create a baby.

Don't judge me. Any Marine would've jumped at this opportunity, as crazy as it might seem. Just sit back, strap in, and enjoy the ride.

Warning: This audiobook contains graphic adult content, beautiful and strong ladies, a hot vet who brings it like it has never been brought, and more super powers and super awesomeness than should be allowed. If any of this offends you, run. If you like it, scroll up and buy your copy today.

This is the story of the main character's brother from the Supers: Ex Heroes series. It can be listened to first or second - either way works.

It's so unbelievably bad...

First off, let me say this review hurts me to write. I don't like the feeling of walking all over someone's creation or giving a negative review, especially as one of the first reviews posted. However, I want to save other potential buyers from reading the summary, looking at the cover art and falling into the same trap I did.
----------------------
I've listened to most of the super hero and harem style books, so I it's not as if I was expecting anything more than an R rated pulpy action / adventure comedy. However, the writing is just awful and the narration makes it even worse. I'm not even sure how to explain how bad this book is, but I'll give it a shot:

1) The characters are absolute idiots. Picture a stereotypical dumb jock, then imagine he procreated with a rock and magically created off-spring, who all suffered traumatic brain injuries...yes, really that dumb.

2) The story line and plot are extremely underdeveloped, which is fine for this type of book. However, they are horribly executed, to the point it's so bad it's actually funny...for a short while. I was wondering if the author wrote it as a joke just to see how many people (like me) were stupid enough to buy it. Worst of all, the author is capable of creating humorous situations and has decent timing, so I feel like he could have created a good story if he put in a serious effort.

3) Lastly the narrator wasn't the right choice. He has great inflection and passion behind the delivery, but most of the characters are women and he can only do male voices. This results in difficulty telling characters apart and combined with the writing just makes it absolutely unbearable.

I'm returning this book. There seem to be a number of people who liked it. I can't imagine why, or how they made it through almost 6.5 hours. At any rate, you've been warned. Proceed at your own risk...

Pretty good

it's a little different than the other series, but just as good, I like how the author has 2 different books series with 2 different perspectives of the brothers.

just couldn't get into it

I tried to like it, but a lackluster audio performance about a guy who gets to fly around the Galaxy having Space sex to save the universe just doesn't appeall to me.

Book 1.5 of a rather interesting series

First off this book is clearly meant to be red after ex-heroes. Very clearly. Take that as you will. And having said that if you’ve read that book you get a similar but still unique experience as heroes. The quick frenetic pace stays for both the action and the sex and I found myself thoroughly entertained. The one star of will be explained at the bottom here due to my own personal reasons not so much an indictment of the book.
Now these books clearly feel like a read out series of adult comics and I find the style enjoyable despite the brief and rapid pace. To anyone used to reading comics you understand experiencing the story in bursts. It’s not too different here. The characters are very much established tropes with some enjoyable flaws and quirks. Drew is suitably different from chad and I appreciate the clear separation there. For the ladies clearly this is very much like an anime harem that actually progresses so the real points to look for are the ladies interesting characters. There I felt a bit less enjoyable as charm and twitch just due to the fact there are more and thus less time to commit to their own mini arcs. They aren’t bad but not quite as fleshed out. The underlying story however is rather intriguing and has so much potential.
Alex’s narration of the story and drew was rather fantastic, it’s rare I’m willing to enjoy a story with someone I’ve never heard before but the voice of drew is so gosh darn perfect for the character he couldn’t have been voiced by anyone else I have nothing but sincere praise for alexander’s portrayal...
Except...
Ok let me explain the few problems to be found in this story first. I’ll say one more time knowing what your getting here is VASTLY necessary because yes, this is make power fantasy in the extreme. It’s a rapid rush of content that never lets you breath and once or twice completely pointless story threads happen especially the ones during the search for one of the ladies. And there is the aforementioned lack of full development for the supporting cast as well otherwise I enjoyed the story. That’s not why I took a star off the overall grade though.
This is kind of hard to explain so bear with me.
If you heard the first book (which as I said before you really should despite the names) or planet kill you’ll know those are multi cast affairs for narration. And it’s spoiled me. Especially the sound booth theater crew since they have started making multi cast recording a regular affair I take nothing away from alex’s performance as o said he’s PERFECT for drew truly is, but it’s just easier and more to follow a multi cast audiobook, especially since it’s becoming more regular thanks mostly due to the SBT crew. I don’t know if Hawke had their mind set in particular for the gods series but it is a jarring change considering how all the books on audible so far connect. I am in no way saying replace alex but I’d love nothing more than to see a merging of all the VAs fir the coming books so we can have consistency when the worlds do collide as they clearly will. It’s a personal preference thing really and isn’t a reason not to enjoy this book. I greatly look forward to experiencing the continuations and will be happy to purchase each one when they all come up.

A waste of a credit

Probably the worst book I've ever listened to. Bad dialogue, pacing is so fast it's confusing, and it's all tell with no show. There are typos in a audiobook. booooooooooooo, just a cash grab on garbage erotica.

Good but I don’t like his attitude, and his brothers story is better

It’s a good steady pace but the mc is NOT humble at all, I did end up skipping some parts well most parts, just didn’t vibe well with the mc I think his brothers story line is much more interesting, i will most definitely buy his brothers storyline books but I could care less about this mc

To juvenile for me.

High school fantasy. Ex-marine finds out he’s related to a god and goes on a dangerous quest to impregnate all god-related women to save the world.

Reads like a horny 14year old's fantasy

I surprisingly finished this audiobook, given that I had to pause it every time I came to a stop light so no other cars could hear what I was listening to. The women in the book practically worship the main character's penis and practically beg to have sex with him throughout the whole book. Even the AI is trying to bang him for crying out loud. The premise is essentially that the main character's parents were the most elite superheroes around and that a group of other supers want him to impregnate them all so he can pass his DNA off to create the next elite super who will finally defeat the supervillain trying to take over the world.

That being said, I actually kinda enjoyed it. It's kinda like a guilty pleasure that you dont want to admit out loud. But it's fast paced, has plenty of action, and the superpowers are cool.

I'm no stranger to sex scenes in books, but this is straight up pornography most of the time

Strange superhero drama

This is different kind of book than I'd usually listen to but I enjoyed it.

Too graphic

There was too much graphic sex for my taste. I don't think I want the next book

Don't bother

Very immature, poor vocabulary, and even the sex scenes are amateurish. Really don't bother
