From shampoo assistant, to top stylist, to the owner of a hair salon for twenty years, I've seen this shaggy world evolve from simple beauty parlors to extravagant hair boutiques. From dysfunctional workplaces and nutty clients to the joys and sorrows of salon ownership, I feel it's finally time to lather up all the dirty details of what life is like behind the chair.

This is a life journal of my experience in the beauty industry, a compilation of stories and situations that I've experienced from years working behind the chair, and a road map on how to get through it to succeed.

Love it!!

This was a great book! I’ve been going to Nikki’s salon for about 6 years. I loved learning about how she started in the business and how she got to where she is now. Her staff is so welcoming and nice. Being able to hear her story in her voice was the cherry on top. The way she tells her story is exactly how she is in real life!
