Essential follow-up to Influence.

The power of PRE-suasion is about essentially priming people to be more likely to be influenced. Essential readings.

To persuade first establish positive context

Narration: enunciation clear but speech annoyingly over articulated.

Content: Successful persuasion preparing the soil before planting the seed. Translation: establish trust and focus attention on positive agreement before pitching ideas. Attempt to persuade in a context and environment conducive to positively focused attention.. Not all occasions and environments are equally conducive to successful suasion.

Useful ideas, although the particular example in which trust is established strikes me as underhanded.

Wait Before You Buy! It's A Summary

What was most disappointing about FlashBooks Book Summaries’s story?

I would never intentionally buy a summary of a Cialdini book. His work is usually well supported by primary sources and I like to know what those primary sources are.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Maybe as a recap after reading or listening to the full version.

When looking at this book on the App at the gym or when really busy, the icon makes it appear like it's the full version because "book(summary)" is super small. I purchased this book with a credit completely on accident because it was difficult for me to read the title when I was on a treadmill and I was using the icon as a heuristic identifier for which book to buy.

"SUMMARY" should be more prominent on the Icon to help others not to make the same pitfall.

To add insult to injury, when I purchased this book the Audible App (older version) would not let me purchase the full version. It said that I already owned it.

Scam

This was meant to be way way longer. Poor product and misadvertised. Narration is a bit dry and oddly pro israel comments are slipped in which are completely out of place.
