Publisher's summary

Summary of Educated By Tara Westover.

Educated is the story of Tara Westover's uncovering of self and a world she had never thought about. Brought up as a survivalist in the mountains of Idaho, Westover never knew that much about the world outside her little surrounding.

(Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, it is available from Amazon and Audible.)

From a survivalist town girl to the top of the top, Westover had her entire childhood invested in the wild planning for the apocalypse with her family. Serious illnesses were treated with home remedies and herbal medicines. Food was accumulated and arranged by the family.

The first occasion she came into contact with the world outside her little comfort zone was when one of her many brothers finally made the decision to set off to college.

Her brother returned with stories of an entirely different world outside their little network and Tara was captivated. She did whatever she could to plan for the ACT - a troublesome task having never gotten a formal education - and she got into a college. Educated is a diary about Tara's adventure into the wonderful unknown of the real world.

If you still have doubts you can't make it in this world, listen to Tara's story and your hope will instantly be restored.

In this summary, I will walk you through all the ideas worth remembering from that book as well as a detailed summary of every single chapter.

But who’s this summary for?

If you are someone who’s tight on time, maybe you want to see whether the original book is worth it or not or maybe you don’t remember much of what you listen to, then this summary is written for no one else but you.

GRAMMAR IS VERY POOR. I'D LIKE TO RETURN IT.

Although the content of the article seems correct, there are so many grammatical errors, I find myself questioning what the author means to say. I would like to exchange this summary for the other one you have for EDUCATED by Tara Westover.

Did Audible actually listen to this?

The author is obviously not a native English speaker and it was a very strange experience listening to the strange syntax and obvious grammatical and other errors. Audible should pull this item from its offerings!
