Publisher's summary

Blue Ocean Strategy is the 2015 update to the classic business strategy text of the same name originally published in 2005. The text offers a practical handbook to business students and entrepreneurs who wish to rise above the fray of the competition, become pioneers in previously uncharted market territory, and gain access to impressive growth opportunities and an untapped customer base.

Most businesses make the mistake of focusing on their competitors when developing strategies. A "blue ocean" business, on the other hand, focuses on how to create new value for customers, the base of which may be people who are not yet customers of this business' core industry. The term blue ocean is derived from the idea that an area of unexplored market space is like the clear, blue waters of an undisturbed portion of ocean.

Please note: This is key takeaways and analysis of the book and not the original book.

Good quick summary however too brief

It’s a good very short / concise summary. However I feel it could have doubled in length to include more detail and insight.

good content, poor narration.

Narrator reads far too quickly for listener to absorb material. Slow it down. this is delivered as if it were a speech or an address, not the dissemination of crucial information.

This was a great short and very concise listen. The reader did a fantastic job and the company put together a great summary of this great book.

Too short

The book is great, this is too short to actually apply it.

Get a PDF, will do the same as this audio... if you are not getting the full book.

No hate!

Summary yes-but maybe too much of a summary

It is a good high level summary, but not enough detail. Was hoping for a little more.

Great Book for Leadership

This book is a must-read for any leader that wants to make a remarkable difference in leadership. I listened to the summary many times and it is still interesting as the first time. Excellent and clear narration.
