Publisher's Summary

Disclaimer: This is not the original book.

An ideal book for anyone who thinks that they are too “busy” but aren’t doing anything productive, Essentialism is a book about priorities. It’s not about somehow managing to do all of the activities in your life disregarding if they are important or not, it’s about having a detailed plan of what’s important for you and what’s not and starting from there. That is why it is called the pursuit of less, because during that quest for “less” you’ll find out that you’re actually doing more.

“There should be no shame in admitting to a mistake; after all, we really are only admitting that we are now wiser than we once were.” (Greg McKeown)

Essentialism forces us to be more selective in regards to what is essential and what isn’t. Pursuing less give us the liberty of choosing what we want to do and regaining control of our schedule. There is no need to be overwhelmed just because you feel like you can’t get anything done. With this book, you’ll discover what activities you should get rid of to achieve much more!

Greg McKeown stresses that you can have complete control over your schedule if you just start weighing out priorities. It’s time for you to become productive.

Inspirational book

I borrowed this book from My friend. But after reading one chapter I knew that I had to own a copy and bought one. It's the type of book you want to pick up as a reference.

Short and semi sweet

I wish this book had been longer. it was a great message with lots of good reminders to walk your own path. silence the external voices of doubt, etc. we all need that message! some good advice for daily routine. could have done without the self promotion at the end...

Great Summary

Excellent refresher Summary. And it showed how to refine on what to do first by priority, not by ease, and to plan priorities by weekly not daily. Good refresher.

very very informative

Whenever I am feeling down or want to settle into thinking that I am doing enough I come back to this audio book and it whips me into shape. I hate that this books makes me feel so uncomfortable that I feel compelled to move and so dissatisfied with where I currently am that I feel like I have to move. It has helped me move forward in my thinking and makes me believe and go forward.
