Publisher's summary

Love is not the same for all people, neither is passion, sex, or intimacy. Sometimes, what one person finds thrilling another can only hope to understand. These are the lessons learned from the experiences of Anastasia Steele after she meets Christian Grey in the now-famous Fifty Shades of Grey series. In this book the motivations, thoughts, and introspections of the man who introduced Ana to the world of bondage and discipline, Christian Grey, are expressed and explored. Grey gives further insight into the lifestyle and the relationship between the two characters.

Christian lives an orderly and highly controlled life as a successful businessman, after suffering horrible abuse and neglect as a very small child. He understands only some of what he suffered, and what he does know comes to him at night in horrible dreams. His biological mother, a prostitute addicted to crack, invited a great deal of violence into their lives....

Analyzing

I love the review however I feel more details should be included if you are truly summarizing 4 books. But overall this was good insight and goes with what I thought after reading the books. I love the trilogy and can't wait till book 2 & 3 come out from Christian's point of view

Superficial and little insight

The headline says it all. I was hoping for commentary on literatre, or psychology, or something of substance, but it just isn't there.
