Hot, sexy and cute. I enjoyed listening to this rockstar romance. Two of my favorite narrators told the story.

Great story and narration!

This is my first Mandi Beck's book and I won't be the last. The duet narration is easy to listen and is as perfect as always with Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott! I like duet narration! The story is great. I love the two main characters, Beau and Addy. Beau is so sexy and flirty! Addy knows well herself about the fact she could get too attached really fast and Beau knows how to charm! They fit so well together. I haven't listened to the first book in the Wrecked Series, but I will! I can't wait to listen to the Stone Lockhart's story.

Hard Candy Records signs a winner!

Bad Boy country singer, Beau has been acting out even the more the past several months. So much so that his current record company has released him from his contract. Where does this leave him? Hard Candy Records! After taking on the troubled singer, Addy Mae has been assigned to work on the bad boy's image and help him keep on the straight and narrow. This includes being his escort....everywhere...and he is doing his best to catch her eye. Addy does not like being attached, but will this man win her heart? If he has his way, he will, but circumstances arise. I really love this series, with Expose magazine always reporting what they think is happening. It is so true to life with the way the media can take a situation and twist it to their liking, truth or not! Mandi Beck's writing of her installment is fun, flirty and hot with charismatic characters.

Needing that western twang, the choice of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross to narrate this story was perfect. Wen's ability to bring Beau to life with his boyish charm and western accent gave the story the charm it deserves. Kai is excellent as Addy Mae, presenting the very emotions that I was feeling as the story progressed. Their flawless performances are always a treat.

.WHOO-WEE! No one writes swoony, dirty-talkin’ Alpha Males quite like Mandi Beck, and GLORY HALLELUJAH did she hit my sweet spot with SUGAR, a standalone Rock Star romance in the multi-author Expose series!

THE STORY IN A NUTSHELL:
Beau McCrae, country music’s baddest bad boy, has been dropped from his label for his devilish antics after the death of his on again/off again sweetheart set him on a downward spiral. But praise the lord…he was recently picked up by Hard Candy Records and is determined not to squander this second chance. But he was not counting on one itty bitty stipulation in his new deal, which had sweet and sassy record exec Addy Mae Masterson being glued to his side as his keeper! After all, the last thing Hard Candy Records needs is for Beau to go on another bender and be the source of more gossip fodder!

Although at first he is less than pleased to have a glorified babysitter watching his every move, turns out the sinfully sexy bad boy enjoys flirting with the sultry spitfire. And even though Addy Mae puts on a tough act she is not exactly immune to his smoldering charms either! But she tends to get ATTACHED and Beau is not looking for anything lasting! Can this crazy in lust duo fall in perfect harmony or will mixing business with pleasure cause them to crash and burn?

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
Gosh darnit!! I was absolutely ADDICTED to this fun, flirty, red-hot romance!!! One of the reasons that Mandi Beck is one of my all-time favorite authors is because she captures the swaggeringly sexy male POV like none other! And holy hot tamale...Beau McCrae was my fantasy rock star BBF come to life! This small town football star turned country music idol was so gosh darn sexy I could hardly stand it! I just worshiped the ground this hard-muscled hunka burning love stood on! But it was so much more than his looks that fanned the flames of my fangirl heart! His arrogant attitude, gentlemanly mannerisms, big ol’ heart, and naughty one liners, drawled in that velvety-smooth Texas twang, just R.U.I.N.E.D me!!

It takes a strong, feisty woman with a backbone of steel to keep up with this larger than life rule-breaker, and Addy Mae was his perfect counterpart! I just adored her sassy and spirited southern girl next door charm. And she’s smart as a whip too! She has a good head for business yet beneath the no-nonsense attitude lurks a surprisingly vulnerability and inner sex kitten that's just begging to be unleashed!

This was a low-angst tale with the perfect blend of romance, humor, swoon and scintillating sexy times! These MCs just had so much sizzling chemistry and electrifying sparks it nearly incinerated my kindle! And as is this author's trademark, there was a ton of heart and soul depth interlaced with the steamy interludes that gave me warm fuzzy feels galore. The story is beautifully paced—truly not a dull moment—and the secondary cast added a hefty shot of warmth and wit into the mix! And of course the piece de resistance? A sweet and fulfilling HEA that made my heart sing!

THE NARRATION:
Squeeee...the narration was sensational! This may be my fave Wen/Kai duet performance to date! With his Texas twang, good ol’ boy roguish charm and shiver-inducing inflections, Wen truly embodied Beau McRae in all his country bad boy HOTNESS and had me panting like a star-struck groupie! And…gah… don’t get me started on what his deep, rumbly chuckles do to me!!!!

And Kai was absolutely darlin'! Loved her sweet, feisty performance and she made me wish I could hang out with Addy Mae and her bffs on Girls Night Out! And Kai nailed the southern accent and emoted beautifully.

As always, Kai and Wen had an infectious flirty chemistry and played off each other perfectly! I could FEEL the heat and the spark, and the love and the humor between them down to my core. These two made this audio a pure, sinfully delicious delight!

Great southern story

4.5 stars. This is my first book by Mandi Beck and won’t be my last. This is a great book about the bad boy crossed with falling in love with your “boss” I loved the interaction of Addy and Bo and how she didn’t take any of his BS.
