Some great ideas!

I'm always looking for audiobooks to listen during my daily metro commute. A friend suggested this one to me. It does have some worthwhile ideas. Happiness tends to be non-logical, implying that emotions follow actions and how you behave determines how you feel. I found it to be on a shorter side of around 3 hours but still, I’ll give it 5 stars because it has some good ideas and helpful suggestions.

Thought provoking

By understanding more about what makes some people happier, positive, optimistic, successful and recognizing that these qualities are required to live a rewarding life, the author advocates that those who are naturally pessimistic or focused on the negative side of things can shift their perspective and live a more fulfilling life.

It also offers various exercises and tools to help listeners uncover their strengths (“sharpen the saw”) and how they can modify their perspective to become happier.

Highly recommended to anyone interested in developing optimistic mindset and feel a bit happier than before.

Hopeful and uplifting

I gifted it to my son who is in college. He loved it so much that he told me to buy and listen to it. He found it very helpful. It gave him a different perspective on pessimism and how some of it can be fixed by changing our thoughts. Highly recommend for anyone who wishes to see life in a better light and/or anyone with a pessimistic attitude. It may not be an instant fix but it's certainly helpful and well thought out audiobook that will make a difference.

My new favorite

Now this is a self-help audiobook. It made me analyze my life and my decision-making process. I am now more accepting of my responsibilities rather than being resentful and blame other people. I think everyone should listen to it and live by it.

Take full responsibility

The focus of this audiobook is to look for the important things in life and work on that. That means even if something is hard to at, or some mistakes we made in the past, must be acknowledged and released. Full personal responsibility for our own life is essential.

It's an easy listen that feels more like a conversation than a speech. I've recommended this audiobook to my friends and would recommend to anyone who feels overwhelmed.

Awesome listen!

It is a game changer. It makes you sit down and think. Must listen for people who are depressed, or second guess themselves - 'what is wrong with me', 'why me'… Trust me there is nothing wrong with you... It was an eye-opener for me. If you are on the fence, just buy it already!!

Excellent guide

I can’t stop myself from writing a review of this audiobook. Was searching for something new for a long time. At this point in life, I can relate to the ideas presented in the book. It provided an excellent guideline to revisit my priorities and set up new goals for the upcoming year.

Love this one!

I thought this audiobook was just full of quotes but now after listening to it deeply, I feel very motivated to try out the ideas presented in it. I took notes of the parts I really liked to stick them on my desk. Though I found that the price is at the higher side but it’s a book to be cherished for a long time.

A nicely narrated audiobook. A lot of Info with practical tools to improve the quality of our mindset and life. I feel motivated to make simple lifestyle changes for a better, healthier me with this book. A perfect gift for people we care for. A funny, witty, and insightful book. Loved every bit of it!

Practical advice

I am still in the middle of this audiobook but I had to come leave a review. It is extremely well narrated, presenting helpful ideas in addition to practical exercises to increase happiness and positivity. I've started a few of the exercises and I'm already feeling a bit different. It’s worth it.

Changes how you see the environment

This was an excellent audiobook. The author encourages the listener to adopt the habits that seem to challenge his existing views and see things from a broader perspective. Many happiness programs recommend practicing gratitude. This audiobook does too, but it goes a step further and explains exactly how to do it and when. There was so much information in this audiobook that it might overwhelm someone new to this genre, but I think it has wide ranging appeal for people from all walks of life. Very well done and worth buying.

Bunch of helpful points

I bump into many people when in the subway. This often happens because I am immersed in a particularly interesting audiobook. If you want to do the same thing, listen to this book while walking through a subway station. Fun times!

Adjusting my mindset

If you wish to gain a deeper understanding of human psychology, then this audiobook will guide you through it perfectly. While listening to the book, I immediately started thinking about how I want to approach my life and work. It has helped me see things from a better, more helpful perspective. Can’t recommend it enough!

I can't recommend this book enough. While it’s not a quick listen, it is easy to follow. It has some amazing points. I'd suggest taking notes as you go along. Very convenient to listen on an airplane or car and very thought provoking!

Surprisingly good

I was surprised to find that my initial thought of "This could be a good one. I'll probably get a provoking thought or two out of it", turned into, "Wow. This is amazing." I have only finished half of it and still recommended it to two people, one of which brought the audiobook. I will recommend it to my family and friends.

Amazing work

This was my first audiobook on mindset but I found it so relatable. It not only talks about ideal situations but also make us learn to accept our imperfections and utilize them in boosting our own happiness. Worth listening.
