Publisher's Summary

Thanks to 50 Shades, BDSM has gotten more attention than ever. Unfortunately, the novel doesn't really provide neither a comprehensive, nor accurate look into the lifestyle. Submission is a rather taboo topic, and many tend to shy away from it because of that. However, in this audiobook, we are going to break through some of the misunderstandings of submission.

This audiobook covers a lot of deep information about being a healthy submissive including:

  • When submission is no longer submission
  • Why submission is good for you
  • Communication
  • How to be in control - even though you aren't
  • And much, much more!
  • Prepare yourself for an amazing experience!

    Insight in D/S relationships

This Informative guide covers a decent amount of information for such a short listen.
I recommend this book for anyone curious about the role of a submissive.
I've listened to book's from the Domiants perspective, this however is my first book geared towards the sub.
I requested this book in exchange for my honest review because I wanted to understand this relationship from the subs POV.
And this book was helpful in accomplishing that.
I also think Anneliese Rennie's narration was professional and instructional.
It's worth checking out because you can never have to much knowledge.

    informative

This audiobook was very enlightening for me. Before this book, everything I knew about BDSM was from 50 shades. I found this audiobook to be informative, enlightening and also entertaining. The narrator does a great job in instructive narration and I really enjoyed this audio.

Great introduction to the Dom/Sub life.

Great introduction to the Dom/Sub life.

    This is a Non-Fiction title.

    Read by Anneliese Rennie

Length: 1 hr and 49 mins

Lots of good information packed into this short listen on the Dominant and Submissive lifestyle, with emphasis on the Sub.

    ♥ Story ♥

Submissive Training introduces you to all the categories of the Dominant and Submissive relationship, and yes, there is more than one way to play. Most people tend to equate the Dom/Sub life to one way of doing things, but there is more than just safe words, hand cuffs, and spankings. I know it expanded my comprehension, and I knew a lot more than the average joe from all my years of reading romance and erotica. There are more than likely way more variations than are covered in this audiobook, but it will get you off on the right foot if this is something you are honestly wanting to learn about.

I would say that Submissive Training is aimed more at women than men, but that it could be used by any gender that is wanting to be on the Submission side of a Dom/Sub couple.

    ♥ Author ♥

This is my 1st read/listen by More Sex More Fun Book Club. Their titles are all non-fiction with emphasis on BDSM. I like how they take a healthy approach to this subject with a clear focus on safety.
More Sex More Fun Book Club has 07 titles listed on Audible.

    ♥ Narrator(s) ♥

This is my 1st listen by Anneliese Rennie. She performs titles in various genres. She speaks very clearly and with a tone that puts you at ease while you learn about this 'delicate' subject.
Anneliese has 12 titles listed on Audible.

    How to book

The book is a bit dry and repetitious, but it is easy to follow seems to have a good understanding of the submissive and Dom types down.
The narration was a bit computer generated sounding. However she does very well with the excerpt for another book at the end it made me wish to check out the story. Well if I could afford it that is. More power to her."

The Narrator sounds like a kindergarten teacher

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I truly cannot get over how inappropriate the narrator's voice is for this audiobook. I felt like she might as well have been reading the Berenstain Bears books to an elementary school. Additionally, the content is repetitive and could easily be summed up in a few paragraphs or even an infographic to those interested in the subject. There is truly no need for almost 2 hours the same advice being repeated over and over again.
