Wow!

I pulled my grades up by one full letter grade in three classes from Bs to As because of what I learned. I listen to it in my car back and forth between school and home. What I learned was invaluable. The most important aspect of this audio book is that it teaches you to understand everything from the professor's perspective and tells you very, very explicity what the prof is looking for when he grades. Lots of other tips too, how to write papers in a way the professor wants, how to approach note taking from the professor's point of view, and so on. I truly recommend this book to anyone.

Extremely Useful

I was messing up in more than a few courses in college, barely passing in some, when I found this audiobook. I got it and listened to it through, and needless to say, it helped me understand where I was going wrong, and how easy it is to set things right.

Sure, this audiobook's narrators could have been better, and their voices aren't the best fit for an audiobook, and I would have put it aside if it wasn't for the positive reviews I've found on the Internet. If you're a college student, regardless of where you are and how old you are, this book is priceless.

Not Recommended For Adults

Slow paced with painful attempts at humor and irritating voices. The substantive content could be condensed in to one quarter to one third the time. Best suited for children with lots of free time.

Excellent tips but may need extra considerations

All the strategies in this book are top notch and are great tools in my opinion for college and for those considering a formal education. Although, as a suggestion future editions, if any, should include considerations that affect college students which directly or indirectly affect their grade such as Proffesional work, family (i.e. working full time, poverty, raising children, etc), physical or mental disabilities and(or) illnesses (i.e. adhd, bipolar, autism, etc). The books perspective is that of a poster child college student who is able to commit full time to formal education, who has the resources and no illnesses rather than consisering the various challenges previously stated above. This is why I gave the book a 4 rather than a 5.
In addition as another suggestion writing a book for those who don't pursue college. Examples of people who dropped college are Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Mark Zukerberg, Steve Jobs, Michael Dell, etc.

professor bias

No real information in here unless you are new to college. A lot of info is professors complaining about students.

Narrator's were fine, it was just boring to listen

Would you try another book from Dr. Lynn F. Jacobs and Jeremy S. Hyman and/or Lynn Jacobs?

I would try another one, but with more caution. The format was the killer all Q & A

Would you ever listen to anything by Dr. Lynn F. Jacobs and Jeremy S. Hyman again?

They're intelligent people, but I didn't like the Q & A structure for the book

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator didn't really detract from the book, once again the format of the book was its downfall

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Redeeming Quality: You could skip around chapters pretty easily without much trouble following
