Best narrator of Whimsy ever

His range of silly to deadly sincere for lord Peter is spot on for the character. Love also his stuffy, charming Bunter, his family’s voices such as his brother Gerald, his mother the Dowager Duchess, so perfect. Perfect fussy, Victorian Miss Climpson and the Brave, clever miss Murchison. RB is so entertaining and easy to understand. Sadly for me I had just listened to another Ian Carmichael version of Strong Poison which was a strain to understand due to all voices being so close together and the recording is mushy. Please I beg you Mr Bathaus, finish your magical narration of the rest of the Lord Peter and Harriet series please oh please

A very good novel.

Dorothy sayers at her best in this story which introduces Harriet and interestingly features Lord Peter’s lady assistant sleuths. Good plot and witty writing. Lots to enjoy.
