Publisher's summary

Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.

His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.

On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, covered up only by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.

I hate to admit it, but I'm head over heels infatuated with him.

There is one huge problem, though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked-up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being Bellini Chambers.

What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a clusterf--k of epic proportions.

Pretty good, but it bothered me a little

There was a line in the book that really bothered me, Old people should be on an island? (not the exact line) Public Displays of Affection can be pretty gross, so yes, they deserve an island, but the idea that old people doing it is gross, but young people acceptable is just wrong. Pretty sure no one will read my review , I really hate to be negative, but someday you will be older and understand.

oh boy! where to begin...

Let me just say that Meghan Quinn is all sorts of wrong, crazy, and off the wall ridiculous. I am not sure whether to shake her or congratulate her on her memorable characters.

Without a doubt I will never forget these people. From the insulting Prima Dona to the best friends, each character has something that endeara, skeeves, or makes them yours.

There are so many, many things I would live to share but I refuse to ruin the shock factor. This was hands down one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed.

p.s. The audio is beyond....just priceless. A certain someone makes your skin crawl and has the absolute perfect pitch and whine to nauseate.

Great as a love story alone, but also made me laugh until I cried.

So glad that I listened to this one as an audiobook as the narrators did a fantastic job portraying these characters!! I had so many laugh out loud moments, most revolving around Paisley's awkward moments, that quickly turned hysterical.
Every time Bellini's chapters came on, I braced myself and made sure I was alone so I didn't accidentally throat punch someone close to me since her little monologues really captured the essence of her self-centered bitchery.
Reece and Paisley have so many intricacies involved in managing their relationship that I was fascinated from the start. I love that Reece is a swimmer and the Olympics scene made me tear up. I felt all the emotions in this book!!
Also I am wondering if the Ms Quinn is setting up for some future stories from some of the secondary characters because there were at least 3 characters that I'd love to hear more from especially fellow swimmer Bodhi.
Loved- seriously everyone needs to hear this audio!!

Really enjoyed this audio book!

I really loved the olympic swimmer and reality tv themes throughout the book and the way Meghan Quinn brought it all together was very entertaining! I could have completely done without Bellini's thoughts though. Her perspective didn't add anything to the story and was just annoying. I thought the narrators were awesome and really brought the story to life!

Hilarious!💜

This was, for me, the best romantic comedy of 2021 so far. I seriously don’t know where Meghan Quinn gets this stuff but this story had me laughing out loud. I love the main characters as well as the secondary characters. There was a couple of directions I was certain this story was going but I was wrong. I want to say more but I don’t want to give any spoilers. Let’s just say really wanted to throat punch someone in between laughing lol. I loved that she used 3 amazing narrators to perform her story.
All of the narration was absolutely brilliant. This is book 1 with an HEA. I highly recommend this book!

Olympic Glory.

EDITED TO ADD: It’s five years later and I’m reading this story again after watching the Tokyo 2020 Olympics which were held over till 2021 with the world pandemic. Seeing those guys swimming on tv had me yearning to go round two with Reese, Bodi and Hollis. It’s just as fabulous as it was back then but I added audio for this one to listen to as I read along. There are three narrators who bring to life Paisley, Reese and the wicked Bellini. Each did a great job hitting key emotions and depicting the characters really well. Hearing Bellini go on and on with audio makes her character even worse but also shows how awesome Reese and Paisley were. I wish the other books got their own audio edition as this series is fabulous.

Stroked is a must read for all Meghan Quinn fans, and all fans of Rom-Coms. She just has a way of creating characters with substance but also with enough flaws to make it real. I feel this book is another winner for her.

We have three main characters for Stroked, but it is not your typical love triangle. Firstly is the loveable Paisley, or Mauve if you feel like it. She is a dark haired beauty who after "the incident" is now the assistant to a reality couple. Enter Reese King, the swimming olympic medalist that is on his last chance for gold and his "girlfriend" Bellini Chambers, the reality star diva that you are going to love to hate. She did grate on my nerves, but I feel that was very intentional, so job well done.

Paisley is destined to prove to her superiors and family that she can handle this job and won't make any more mistakes, especially falling for the hot swimmer. Bellini is not an easy person to work with, and causes all sorts of problems for her, calling her by a different name being the least. Reese has other things on his mind, his last bid at the Rio olympics and maybe a certain dark haired girl!
You can tell that this isn't going to end well for one of them.

There are some funny parts to this book that I was giggling with, and some where I was shaking my head at. As I said, Bellini is one character! I also didn't really get the whole relationship thing with Reese and Bellini, I didn't quite see how it benefitted him but I certainly did see how he was good for her. All in all, this is a great book to read. You'll get to appreciate the lengths an athlete goes through to achieve a medal. There are some hot sex scenes between the couple that will keep you warm on winters night! Maybe even a few tears like me but always lots of humor to keep us happy.

I want to finish.. but,,,,

The overall theme/story seems really good. I really wanted to be able to finish listening, but I just cannot get over Bellini's chapters... I just can't do it. Maybe I'll try and read the book instead of listening.

Surprisingly good!

The narrator did an excellent job!! The voices for the characters were spot on! Thought this would be a 'light read.' It was anything but!! It was super sexy, infuriating and hilarious!!! The villain in the story was too much! I can only hope she wasn't based on an actual person cause that would be so hilarious and WRONG! Our main character 'Mauve' has the patientence of a saint!!!
