Exceptionally detailed and factual<br />

This is very well structured and the facts are spot on. I could not put this book down. Okay I could not put my phone down , the device I listened to it on.
The narration is very good and really puts you right there on some of those city streets of which I have walked in my youth.
I would recommend this to any and all and I do believe the audio truly puts it in a differ perspective then if I had read it.

Wait for a new narrator, this one does not cut it

Where does Street Legends Vol. 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

very low

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

There was a lot to choose from but I was distracted the voice, it was edited poorly, it sounded like he was talking from across the room. I was surprised at the low quality, this book would have been better if read by a professional.

Would you be willing to try another one of Glenn Langohr’s performances?

Sure as long as you hire new voice to read it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when I decided to give up on the great story due to the bad performance.

Any additional comments?

Raw stories about street legends from the hood

Would you consider the audio edition of Street Legends Vol. 1 to be better than the print version?

No

What did you like best about this story?

Having been a long-time reader of Seth Ferranti's site, Gorilla Convict, I loved how he breaks down the stories of the Supreme Team, Pistol Pete and the Junior Black Mafia, told by the actual mobsters and hustlers straight from the pen. This isn't what you'd read in the New York Times, this is the real deal. Filled with street slang its not exactly an academic book but a book that immerses you in the streets of crack-era America. The writing is top-notch, though I'd say the VO doesn't always fit the flow on the page.

Good book

I really enjoyed this book. The narrator wasn’t the best but the stories were so interesting I just overlooked certain terminology he didn’t use or say correctly. I’m looking forward to more books by this author.

Great story, terrible narration

The reading and added wording was terrible. Narrator speaking in what seemed to be incorrect tone and random pausing. Find the story read by someone else. Very hard to follow and a waste of a purchase.
